A mortgage assistance program for people at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure was launched by the famous hip hop singer will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas in 2010.

It is called the will.i.am Home Mortgage Relief Program. He created the i.am home fund to collect donations for families struggling with their mortgages, and at risk for losing their homes to foreclosure. In May 2010 on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah had two struggling families that were facing foreclosure as guest on the show. To their surprise, a guest star, or should I say ‘mortgage angel’ had appeared to help make their foreclosure problems disappear. This angel was no other than will.i.am who had chosen the two families to pay off their mortgages and stop their foreclosures.

He told the Sun, “I rescue families who are losing their homes because they have no jobs and they can’t pay the mortgage and the banks are foreclosing on their homes.”

I checked for websites and more recent information about this program for the publication of this article, but was unable to locate any links and or websites for more current updates. So I’m not sure if this program is still available.
