Jason Steadman (35) from Seattle was arrested on Friday for sending threatening letters to a Seattle newspaper. His alleged involvement in an alleged pipe bomb incident (last weekend) is also being investigated. There were no injuries and it seems that generating fear was the main purpose of the incident.

Jill Mackie, the spokesperson of the Seattle newspaper which has received threads from Jason Steadman, issued a statement which made it clear that they are satisfied that an arrest has been made and that this arrest will hopefully put an end to a series of disturbing incidents.

The motives are not yet clear, investigators are currently trying to determine why Steadman threatened the newspaper and if he was indeed involved in last weekend’s pipe bomb incidents. At this point, the Seattle newspaper representatives and the FBI are not willing to make any motive-related comments.
