Hello all, it was a busy summer, and we’re looking forward to continuing to work with our customers who are Loansafe members this Fall, and beyond. Also, I want to let everyone know that CitiMortgage’s Road to Recovery homeowner assistance program has begun its Fall tour. The summer tour held events in ten cities across the country, resulting in more than 1,000 private consultations. Here are some really quick stats, over 30 percent of attendees were first time contacts. Almost 90 percent of attendees were 60 days or more past due on their mortgage payments and 30 percent were in foreclosure. Still, nearly 60 percent of those attending qualified for a mortgage modification. 96 percent of attendees rated the experience as excellent or good and said they’d likely recommend the experience to a friend.</SPAN></SPAN>

Hi Gayle,

If your last modification was HAMP, you can apply for an inhouse modification, if it was not a HAMP modification, then you can apply for HAMP. You can begin the process by contacting the Homeownership Preservation Dept. to get the HAMP modification going.

I have a 2nd mortgage with Citi. I did what I believe was an inhouse mod with Citi almost 2 years ago. My interest rate went from 8% to 7%. I wonder if I have any options to get another mod in order to reduce the interest rate again.

[h=2]CitiMortgage Launching Road to Recovery Events for 2012[/h]

CitiMortgage’s Road to Recovery homeowner assistance program kicks off its 2012 schedule on Tuesday, April 24 in Orlando, FL. Through this program, CitiMortgage borrowers are invited to meet with mortgage assistance experts in private, one-on-one consultations to discuss what options may be available to them. During 2011, CitiMortgage representatives met with borrowers at 25 market events to discuss potential solutions including modifications, deferments, repayment plans, and alternatives to foreclosure such as a short sale or deed in lieu. Based on our successful 2011 tour, we're pleased to announce that we will be expanding this program to 35 markets in 2012. The schedule for the first 10 events is:

Orlando, FL April 24 (Tuesday)
Fort Lauderdale, FL April 26 (Thursday)
Tampa, FL May 01 (Tuesday)
Jacksonville, FL May 03 (Thursday)
Cincinnati, OH May 08 (Tuesday)
Columbus, OH May 10 (Thursday)
