    2nd Mortgage

Depends on whether or not you 2nd is underwater. If it is underwater I recommend you seek to eventually settle by following the guide at post #1 of the following thread. http://www.loansafe.org/forum/threads/strategy-for-settling-your-2nd.37996/

2nd Mortgage Lender has Filed for Foreclosure

Hi MBe Settling an in-the-money 2nd is much more challenging than settling an underwater 2nd. It requires that a borrower be more proactive in initiating settlement negotiations. There's no blanket strategy that applies; each situation can be different. I recommend you first get an updated...

Fha Hamp Loan Modification In Washington State

I have no idea whether you should try to make monthly payments. I recommend you download and read the FHA HAMP directives; qualifying standards will be found therein.

Fha Hamp Loan Modification In Washington State

It was illegal for Homstreet Bank to try to sell your house; Homestreet couldn't (didn't have the capacity) sell your property as they aren't on title. I don't know if you should make a payment to stay undesr 30 days. In order to qualify for a FHA HAMP mod, you'll need to qualify with...

I recommend you not tell those collection agencies anything about the SOL.

2nd Now Transfered What To Do- Unpaid For 6 Years

Unfortunately the clock on the SOL hasn't yet started; SOLs aren't even related to NODs. The only way you'll be able to take advantage of the SOL is if and when Chase FCs on your 1st. Your GT 2nd will then become a SOJL and the SOL clock will start on the Chase FC date.

Need Nc Real Estate Lawyer Advice

ilzho Thanks for your post. I recommend you not worry too much about it. A FC is only slightly more negative (if at all) in your credit file than a SS You may learn a valuable lesson here - ex-spouses are not to be trusted.

Real Time Resolutions Told Me ....

CickB123 Thanks for your post. I do have some experience with RTR - they used to the servicer of a 2nd on one of my properties. RTR transferred servicing to another entity. I recommend you NOT disclose your financials. And if the 2nd is underwater, I might suggest you completely ignore RTR...

Wells Fargo 2nd Mortgage Charge Off

Coyote I do realize your 1st has been modified and is current. I mentioned a FC as a way of illustrating when the SOL on your 2nd would start. I recommend you do some legal research about your state's SOLs; i.e. how it is or isn't applicable to your situation.

Wells Fargo 2nd Mortgage Charge Off

Coyote Thanks for your post. If WF says you owe nothing on that WF 2nd, you've apparently lucked out! However, if I were you, I'd tread lightly with WF. Why? Because the SOL clock hasn't yet started; it doesn't start until, and if, WF FCs on the 1st and wipes out the 2nd (2nd becomes a...

How to Disappear From Your Creditors

If the case is still active, you can make a motion to the court to invalidate the proof of service. In an affidavit you should explain exactly what happened and how it happened. Most judges take a very dim view of process servers lying to the court.

How to Disappear From Your Creditors

In my state, a defendant in a lawsuit must be personally served. Taping the complaint & summons to the defendant's front door would not be service of process.

Use Home Equity Loan As Down Payment On 2nd (primary) Home?

Apparently you've priced your rent well below the market. I regularly use Craigslist for my rentals. In the past on the few occasions I've underpriced the rent, I've received many many inquiries right away. Whatever you do about buying a new house, I recommend you withdraw the rental from...
