In 2009 the number of employees that claimed job discrimination based on nationality, religion, or disability rose to new levels.

According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) they have received more than a whopping 93,000 discrimination claims this past year. This is only a 2% drop from 2008 which has has the most claims in the commission’s history.

Recent changes in the Americans with Disabilities Act made it much easier for individuals with diabetes, epilepsy, and other treatable conditions to be considered disabled.
