Black Knight Financial Services released its April 2016 national mortgage statistics showing that foreclosure starts were at 58,700, which was the lowest level since April 2006.

The number of active foreclosures went below 600,000 for the first time since 2007.

However, the mortgage delinquency rate was 3.77% higher than the previous month, but still 10 percent lower than this same time last year.
