Wells Fargo Mortgage Rates for Oct. 8, 2010

Wells Fargo has been offering extremely low interest rates on almost every type of mortgage for months now. The rates available today are the lowest they have been in well more than thirty years, according to Freddie Mac. Please keep in mind that the rates listed below will not reflect what each borrower will be offered as every one’s situation is different.

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) is currently averaging an interest rate of 4.250%, with an average 0.7 point, down from 4.375% this last week. Some mortgage analysts expected rates to rise well above five percent by the end of this year. The 30-year FHA FRM is also averaging a 4.250% rate.

15-year FRM has an average rate of 3.625% today, with an average 0.7 point, down from 3.750% last week.

Also, the 5-year adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM) has an average rate of 2.750%, while the 5-year FHA ARM mirrors it at 2.750%.
