(Source: A.Akhundov Trend News Agency, Baku, Azerbaijan (MCT) — Money supply (M2) (cash in circulation (outside banks) and remainders in the domestic currency on accounts of non-financial organizations, financial (excluding credit) organizations and individuals) in January-April 2012 increased by 37 percent compared to the same period of 2011, and decreased by 0.54 percent compared to March 1 2012, the statistical report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said on Monday.
So, as of May 1, 2012, the rate of M2 was 11.202.4 billion manat compared to 8.176.4 billion manat as of May 1, 2011 and 11.263.4 billion manat as of April 1, 2012.
The amount of cash money supply (M0) as of May 1, 2012 hit 7.312.8 billion manat compared to 5.457.8 billion manat as of May 1, 2011 and 7.241.3 billion manat as of April 1, 2012.
As of early May, 2012, Broad Money Supply (M3) totaled 14.346.2 billion manat compared to 14.319.9 billion manat as of May 1, 2011 and 10.760.6 billion manat as of April 1, 2012.
The transaction money (M1) amounted to 8.972.4 billion manat as of early May, 2012 compared to 6.660.4 billion manat as of early May, 2011 and 8.996.9 billion manat as of early April, 2012.
The official exchange rate is 0.7857 manat to $1 on June 25.
