I feel and think excatly the same way, that you express your opinion.
Why mrs. Harris didn’t wait until case would be finalize and then take of this fraud! we knew how to get our money back, she didn’t have to bother for us. I don’t believe that she really stop a scam……
now my situation is I just learn about this sad news couple weeks ago and I feel like a orphan kid. Don’t know what to do next. I think Mr. kramer should fight back. I pray for him.

I don’t know exactly what this settlement will do for me and my family. We are current on our mortgage. We have an interest rate higher than 5.25… it’s 5.29… We owe more than what our home is worth. About $75,000 more… We will see…. They have three years to settle this with homeowners, with my luck, they will contact me on the 35th month….

I hope everything is well with you. I would suggest contacting your bank and try to modify your loan. Let them know of any hardships you may have. If they can’t help you, save your money, let this bad situation go and look forward to a new beginning in a new home and make new memories with your family. It’s not worth the stress..

I paid 5,500.00 and was put on the mass joiner. I am lost what do I do? I am a struggling Mom that trusted the person whom strong armed me. Told me I would get the house free and clear , refinanced at very low rate , and or get all penalties erased for non-payment. My place of employment went through a merger and my income was cut in half in 3 years. I am a hardworking responsible mother that thought I was making a good decision. I was told by the person whom got the only savings I had 5,500.00. That I would be making the biggest mistake of my life if I did not join the mass joinder. I have MERS from 2007. I signed the papers for CA District Attorney to release my file. The file consisted of 2 pages!
I am desperate for help! Someone please advise. Please. What happens now? Is that money gone? Do I lose my children’s home? Is there any hope?

I clicked dislike by mistake. I even did extensive research before signing on and losing $2500 to this scam! Of course, they supported and helped a few people in order to get positive ratings online. 1. Meet with a HUD approved non profit credit and default counselor.
2. Meet with a bankruptcy attorney and discuss a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

As for what you should do now, i would get out of that house. it seems like too much house for you and your son anyway. it sounds like you have at least a job and some savings. go rent an apartment, live simpler. you cant afford your home and thats the bottom line. youve tried to get the mod done on your own and its not happeing. whether or not you were put in a predatory mortgage is debatable and no one on this forum will be able to determine it. but you have to deal with your situation as it is now. b of a is a NIGHTMARE to work with.. they have papers stacked to the ceiling and are incompetent, disorganized and unmotivated people working in the mod department. your credit is already ruined, just get out of that house. live there till they kick you out and save your money. then go rent.

I tried to do a modification 3 plus years ago when this started — i was working with them directly and after 13 months and applying over 6 times with new documents they finally said i was approved in a fedex document -(no reason given but 1 month later bank of america wanted more documents to review again before they locked me in ?? wtf ?? ) now i needed a lawyer – they were making me run in circles !
- I needed help since it was a predatory mgt from the get go (i was going through a divorce years ago and wanted to get a name of the loan — ) i dont know how i signed – the paperwork was obviously changed but i cannot prove …. -(it started with homecomings and i believe things were changed — to variable and balloon ? – crazy — i knew it was variable but balloon — i would never ! ) – now instead of an ok 3500 mortgage they want over 6k a month for 500k loan ????? and going up for 40 years n balloon — huh —
(why wont the bank just work it out — i have no problem for paying for a house that is upside down — with this horrible market – i just want to keep my home !)

well — that behind me i went to a modification law firm who within 6 months — although they had a great precious b n b record n more – they took my 4k and were never to be found —

NEXT i get contacted by STIEN and Kramer separately – they seemed great and had so much info and help …. I thought —

after going back and forth they placed me with Kramer for a 5k mod ?? after 6 months they called and said they couldnt do it any more due to banks and now are doing the joinder ???

I went to Stien and they seemed perfect and made great promises and had a gd record — another 5k ….

as for you, you seem to be doing the same sort of thing.. blaming some big bank conspiracy for your woes. the ONLY reason someone deserves slack on their mortgage is if they lost their job or wages due to the economic downturn, or were put in a loan that was blatant fraud.. which normally isnt the case. if that is your case, i hope you get help, suing the bank wont do it though, your wasting your time and money. b of a is a nightmare to deal with and will take 1 year just for them to tell you “no” on your loan mod request if you deal with them directly. principle reduction is a pipe dream too. to be quite honest, its very hard to get your loan modified but its possible. i would keep calling your mortgage company. unless youve been declined then you really dont have many options except paying or walking.

Again, sdn, I don’t understand why you are on this thread. It sounds like your loan came from some other bank, or that you are not a homeowner and at the very least have no clue what law suit I joined. I nearly lost everything and this suit was honestly the only way I was going to have any chance of staying in the house and neighborhood I want to live in.

Yes I rode the equity wave, but I was lied to about what the market was likely to do by a systematized cartel – a scheme devised by crooked men with ill intent deployed on a grand scale. Just because so many people were robbed by this housing mafia, doesn’t invalidate the fact that we were the victims of criminal actions. That point simply can’t be argued because it is a court-ordered fact that Countrywide committed crimes. (crimes have victims, just to clarify)

The only thing at issue for me is how BofA, now holding the burden of those crimes, intends to make me whole on the losses I have sustained as a result of those crimes. I’m simply trying to figure out how to find an attorney who is willing to pursue the case originally put forth nearly two years ago.

Krista, if I am responsible for starting this flame-out between these two people, and killing the thread, my apologies. I was simply looking for a way to continue a law suit that I believe is valid and warranted, based on MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. I am not trying to represent Joe and Jane Homeowner who want to try and cash in on suing the “evil banksters”. I am ONLY talking about my own personal law suit against CW/BofA that I joined because, after reading every word of the suit, it seemed to me as vital to join the suit as if I’d been the victim of any other organized crime ring.

If I came out of this with a reduction in principle and a reasonable 30 year fixed, based on income that is just finally starting to flow again, I could be a steady pay on my loan service and I’m confident that the investor who holds my note, or the several who hold derivatives of my note (the core issue, indeed), would rather keep a good slave in the house and get those monthly checks, then have the darn thing go idle for a year or two while BofA sorts out their impending options, few as they are.

Anyway, that’s why I joined this thread.
