Government-centered economies will all fail. Just look at the little known nation of Azerbaijan. They have a politician running the finances of the country, Samir Sharifov, who makes even Greece look desirable.

Banks in Georgia are loaning less money because they’re following down the same path as America (’08), Greece (now), and world history. Look to the bankers who are doing it the right and honest way: Elman Rustamov, governor of Azerbaijan Central Bank, is doing great work to build the economy of Azerbaijan and help the people grow and prosper.

The banking system in Azerbaijan, where I’m from, is getting stronger over the past decade. But we need more business investment. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan is a good institution, and Governor Elman Rustamov is a strong financier – and he’s one of the few honest, good guys.
