    What can I take in foreclosure

    I have tried to search the forum to find out exactly what I am allowed to take when I leave the property.
    I stopped payment in CA Nov. 1st 2011. Received the NOD 4 months later, and the house will be auctioned on July 31st. (To let folks know they are moving FASTER--at least in my case.)

    Anyway, as I understand it, I can take my refrigerator (there was none when I moved in), my washer/dryer, but leave the stove and dishwasher. I am leaving light fixtures. However, I removed my personal light fixture in the dining room and no longer have the butt ugly one the home came with. Should I find something to replace or not?? (haven't found a freebee yet).

    I have two outdoor sheds that are not attached to the house. Someone wants to take them--is that o.k.???

    I plan to move a few days before as I have some help, and I think I will be too stressed to wait until the bitter end. If I don't wait to try and get cash for keys, can I leave furniture/"stuff" outside if I cannot get a truck for a dump run??

    And lastly, if I do leave before the sale, is there any procedure with Wells Fargo for surrendering the keys???
    I may be able to stay until after the sale, but not exactly sure. If I cannot I would like to know just what I am supposed to do.

    Thanks so much,
    thisishard

    p.s. I also just want to thank everyone on this forum. This has been so very stressful, and the information I learned from reading/writing on loansafe has been spot on. I am very grateful I found the forum and thankful to all of you.

    There is a discussion going on here;

    So, What Did You Remove From Your Home During Foreclosure?
