Modifications to lower payments? - Loan Modification Forum

I just lost the article, but there was one article where it stated that Wells Fargo was working on loan modifications to lower the payments on people who are in default ot in foreclosure...

Yeah right, I was given a modification, in which my payment went up by $700. I couldn't agree to those terms and I just sent a fax to cancel it.

Was the mod through a HAMP program or their typical "temporary forebearance" or more aptly as I refer to it your entrance into indenture
