After about 2 1/2 years of applying for assistance... we final received approval for a trial period to start 4/1. We were not qualified for HAMP but assume this is an inhouse mod. Our loan is owned by Freddie. Hope we can finally get back on track!

Has anyone ever dealt with Cenlar and specifically a loan mod?

What should I expect after the last trial payment?

I was thinking we should make our payment by phone... even though there is a fee I want to make sure there are no questions that they did not receive our payment and screw up the process.

Any feedback or advice would be much appreciated!

That is good news you have been approved to begin the trial period.. Once the 3-4 month trial period is complete be prepared to make an additional 1-3 trial payments until a final decision is made.. I would not stop making the payments or provide more than the requested amount until yo have either been approved or denied for permanent assistance..

"Hello Moe, I just wanted to tell you, your website has saved my life (literally), I stumbled on your site in the middle of losing my home, I was able to network with people going through the same thing as I am. I didn't feel alone anymore, I have tried to give back and counsel those that haven't walked in my shoes yet. We hear so much about what is wrong with America, I just wanted you to know, you are whats "right" with America."
