re: AHMSI SUCCESS!! Thank You LoanSafe!!

Update: Just spoke with Rosa who explained that the $3583 is the amount that is in my suspense account; I don't have to send them a check. Pfew! Also, my homeowner's insurance is going to be billed directly to AMHSI. The $227 I usually pay to Allstate will now go to the mortgage company.
I am so happy with the way this has worked out! Thanks again to everyone who has offered their advice and support.

Contratulations GirlsMom!
Your story gives me hope as we just recently switched mortgage companies to AMHSI. I was wondering, however, what your original mortgage payment was before the mod and also, whether AHMSI forgave any of the loan debt or just lowered your interest rate. My husband and I are trying to weigh our options of doing a mod or going into foreclosure.

Re: AHMSI SUCCESS!! Thank You LoanSafe!!

My original payment had just been raised to over $3900/month plus $220 for home owner's insurance. Our interest rate was lowered; none of the debt was forgiven. However, we're fortunate because the value of our home is more than our loan amount. I would definitely try to negotiate with AMHSI. They seem to really want to help. That was my experience once I started dealing with the people in Jeanne Drake's office. I wish you good luck and success!

Hubby and I signed our documents and sent them back. We're going out to dinner this weekend to celebrate...woohoo!
