re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

UPDATE!!
I contacted NACA today via online chat to inquire if my proposal had been sent to CW yet. When I called last week, the rep told me it was approved by the supervisor and would be submitted that day(which was friday) or no later than monday. So I asked the rep if it had be submitted yet. The online rep stated that it is in the final approval department to have the proposal reviewed. He said they do this to ensure it has a better chance of getting accepting. I was confused because the rep last week told me it had already got the final approval and it would be submitted. When I told the online rep this, he said it wasnt done then and It's getting its final approval now and will be submitted tomorrow and he was going to notate my account to get it on its way. Well at this point I got kinda upset and dissapointed because I was told this was done already. About 20 minutes later, my husband calls me at work and tells me that NACA just called and said the proposal has been submitted, he went over the offer again, and said to check with CW in 2 weeks, dont accept anything less, and due to O'bama's new housing bill, CW should be obligated to get us a low fixed rate. I was happy to hear this and glad to have recieved a call back so quickly after the online rep documented my account, but still kinda leary because I had been told this before. I immediatly checked my status online with NACA and saw it went from incomplete to submit to servicer-restructure!!! So I know now that it was done (I hope!) Now its in CW hands. I still have untill the 13th to accept that horrible Mod they offered me. So I am hoping it will get wrapped up by then, but I know that is highly unlikely. Just like others going through the process have said, you have to constantly be in contact with NACA. You need to f/u with them at least once a week to sometimes push them along. It takes a minute to get through, but the reps are always helpful and will answer all of your questions.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

I know that enough time has not gone by since my proposal was sent to CW from NACA, but I am starting to get scared as we are coming close to 5 months behind 3/16. I keep looking at the MOD that CW sent me to bring me current. It increases my payments, but I can keep my home and not make a payment till April. I believe in NACA, but I know that they are over worked, and it seems from what I have been reading, that there seems to be alot more forclousre notices being served by CW. I am scared that if I dont accept the MOD from CW and wait for NACA, that I will get myself if futher trouble. What if they dont accept NACA's offer?? I have untill 3/13 to to have the paperwork signed, notorized and sent back. I am seriously contimplating signing it. I feel like I am gambling with my families future waiting for NACA.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

Have you called the CW Advocacy group and give them your NACA ID#.........because you have that offer.......in order for them to work with the NACA offer............you may have to let them know that you are not going to accept the offer you have..................unless you are going to accept the offer........then you may need to let them know.....this could be the hold up if they are waiting until March 13th when the offer you have expires.

Thanks ***, I am going to try the adcocacy team again. The last time I called, they kept sending me to the retention dept after I asked for the advocacy team directly. I'll give it another try.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

I'm not denied yet, but fear that will come----I am more confused than anything else. I posted one time a few months ago, when I was first unable to pay my mortgage, and now things have progressed to a second 'intent to accelerate' notice----I borrowed personal money to pay the first notice, and paid it early. Now, I am looking at March 18th for the due date on the second one. If I don't pay, will they start foreclosure procedures? I read that all the lenders are supposed to receive Obama's modification guidelines on the 4th. Tomorrow. Is there any reason to believe that things will speed up now?

But, I have been dealing with the HRT for some time now also. After they realized the wrong 'group' had been analyzing my file, I was sent back to first base. Then, I received a call from them asking for a letter of explanation/hardship and two months of bank records. I sent everything in 2 weeks ago, including a CW income form which contained inflated income. As they made me come back 4 times in 4 years (required remodel from hell), I also have forms for those years showing inflated income. (not to speak of the points, fees, etc) I was told that it was a 'streamlined, no-doc, stated income' loan. Well, both my wife and I are disabled and have been for 10 years. CW knew this, and I made sure to inform them each time that our income was largely fixed, and not likely to rise. I was always assured that they could write me into something'more affordable' when I needed.

This is a house for disabled people and rescue animals. I am the one having to deal with everything, but have to take a regime of morphine, vicoden, and valium daily. So, I am not sure if I am overlooking something.....I don't really have the funds to pay the amount they want --I can handle Obama's 31% though. If they are evaluating everything at the HRT, should I still have to pay? I read a few places that some folks were told to stop payments?

I am not underwater, maybe 10-15 K in equity.

I think I will call the HRT on the 5th to see where I stand, then call the collection people in Dallas the next day. Do these groups even communicate with one another? Seems like I was shuffled off to India a few times........? Am I leaving anything out? One other thing--- wouldn't these income statements generated by CW be considered fraudulant activity----some of the same stuff they were sued for? Or re-writing the loan so many times?

Any advise is greatly appreciated. Things are foggy a lot for me, and am in chronic pain.

The stress of all this makes matters worse.

Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone!

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

Hello everyone,

I stumbled across this site months ago and like many others I have been lurking. What I am really dissapointed in, is the fact that I waited until February 09 to contact Naca when I could of gotten the ball rolling earlier.

I also want to say thank you to everyone for the wealth of information and support. I feel like I know some of you personally.

Here's my story:

Cw loan that is fixed 7.78- 30 years. One mortgage- I'm certain BONY is our investor. We are not under water and have some equity, only because we purchased a house that needed a little work and we saw the potential. Purchased date 5/05. We are 7 months behind due to an accident I was in then my husband was laid off. We contacted countrywide and made partial payments then they told us in order to qualify for any help they needed my husbands unemployment income, hardship letter ect. We sent our information 11/18/08, the site said we should here something by 12/9/08. Like everyone else, I kept calling and calling cw. They said packages are on the way. They never came. 60 days later from 11/25/08 the information dissappeared off the site. I was told everything looked good. Feb. 4th I was denied the modification because they said my income did not match what they had. The site said borrower did not send requested info. I asked to speak to a supervisor, I told him all my information is correct and that the crs must of entered it in the system incorrectly. I said do I need to start over? He said no I'll put it back in the system and I should hear something in about a week and a half but could I send financial paper work again just incase work out asks for it again. I did and refaxed the 11/18/08 hardship letter. On 2/16/09 I was denied again, this time the online message said borrowor did not qualify. I called and asked why. They said unemployment does not count for my husband. But I qualified for a repayment plan. What the heck. I told the csr thats ok Im working with NACA as of 2/14/09 but it wasnt submitted yet. He said ok. I hung up.2/18/09 a loan modification shows up but it still says denied on the system. I call heart/hope at cw and retention no one has any information on it. The home retention ask me to read it to her. She said someone must of put something in the system in error and maybe thats why I recieved it. Naca submits 2/14/09 but actually submitted 2/18/09. I call 1877 number to let advocacy team know about the submission, I give naca id number to the person who I believe is really home retention. She says I can not speak to country wide any longer. 2/24/09 I call countrywide to see if they recieved NACA proposal. The personal I spoke with puts me on hold for 10 minutes, I can hear him typing notes and then he tells me that Naca is the only one that can check and call cw on my behalf. I look on the cw site they next day and it says Approved for a loan modification as of 2/23/09. I have 10 days to send documents back and I will have documents and or talk to a negoitiator by 3/30/09 or call back by 3/30/09. I am totally confused. The docs I recieved on the 18th is the step rate that many others have recieved. Naca proposal is 5.75 for the life of the loan which is much better. However, I know the sheriff is coming soon so I dont know what to do. I'm afraid if I take the modification from cw that they will just deny me agian somehow and forclose. On the other hand I dont know how long NACA going to take. They said call for an update 3/23/09.

P.S. I think I'm posting in the wrong area. Please forgive me.
I'm praying for all of us. We are all in this together. Conventional, fixed, jumbo, option arm ect. Above water, underwater ect. Sickness, Health, job and jobless.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

Ok I finally got through to the advocacy team at CW. The rep stated that my account is flagged for NACA and because of this she can not speak with me about the account. I asked her if she needed my NACA id# she said no since its flagged they dont need any information and because of the authorization form I signed with NACA they cant release any info to me, and to call NACA for any updates. So if this is true why are we told to contact CW every 2 weeks for updates? Do we contact the home retention dept and not the advocacy dept?? The good news is since my account is flagged, they must have recieved my proposal. Naca says it was sent 2/26. There is nothing showing on CW except for the 1st mod they offered me. I have exactly 7 days from today to send that back.

NACA told us it would be best not to contact CW. After our first 30 day follow up with NACA they told us to call them (NACA) back every 10 days to 2 weeks for updates.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

Hi Teenut,

As you know, I am going through NACA too. They never told me to contact CW, but now that CW has accepted their loan modification (still awaiting details on that), NACA asked me to call them (NACA) every week to check on my file. They also told me that they will email me with details as they come in.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

Thanks dthom and FLgata, Im not sure my why my counselor advised me to call CW every 2 weeks. Maybe they were talking about calling the home retention center to check the status. They seem to never know anything, so Im pretty sure they would tell me something.
FLgata congrats on the approval!! Your almost to the finish line, just a little while longer.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

I hate this waiting game and not know whats going on. I called CW advocacy dept today and spoke to the rudess women on earth. She was so rude I had to confirm that I was actually speaking to the advocacy dept. She immediately went into collections mode. I told her I am just calling to find out if my NACA information has been received. She asked me if I was working with NACA and I advised her yes, and she said well you need to ask them that. I told her I just want to know if any info has been received from them or does my account at least reflect that I am working with them. She says she cant tell me that. ???? I said you cant at least tell me if my account has been flagged??, I told her I talked to a rep last week who said my account was flagged for NACA so why was she able to see and tell me this. She got quiet for a moment then act as if she was reviewing my account and then said she sees nothing is flagged. Right now I am irritated by her attitude and her attempt to to get money. I ask her doesnt she see that I was approved for a mod by CW. She says I see that you qualified for a mod but its in the review period now, nothing has been approved yet. Im showing the documents were signed and sent back and now its in review. At this point Im like these people are crazy as h*ll! I told her I have not signed or sent back that horrible mod and will not be signing it and how can your system say you have signed documents from me??? At this point she knew she messed up and refused to answer any more of my questions, she just kept insisting I contact the hope dept. I questioned her about my "negotiator" and the fact I was told I would be contacted by one. She said there is no negotiator that is something they say on all the mods. I want to pull my hair out at this point. I expected this from the out of country retention dept., but I expected a little more from the advocacy team. I know now that if its CW they are all the same. I am not going to call every 2 weeks like my NACA counselor advised me to, cause its a waste of my time and I get off the phone wanting to hurt someone! I am still wondering about these signed mod documents.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

teenut

As I have posted from my experiences prior to getting a mod, most of the time when you call advocacy you are actually getting home retention or even worse collections reps, they don't tell you that is the department you are in, I actually found this out by questioning a rep when I called about a question on my mod docs (the number on my letter to call for questions was the advocacy dept as that is who generated my mod) most of the reps you deal with at countrywide (especially in retention and collections) do not know what is going on with modifications submitted by non-profits like Naca as these mods are handled by specific people at CW. I would forgo the constant tug of war with CW and call Naca for your updates, tell naca you are getting constantly spun around in circles by cw and would like them to contact cw for updates.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

I just contacted countrywide at the 1-877-327-9225/ advocacy dept., the last rep I spoke with about 2 weeks ago said the advocacy slash home retention is all the same. Today, I spoke with Jackie at the 1877 number and I asked her if I was contacting the advocacy dept. she said yes. I was silent and then she said that I must contact Naca for any information. I said ok but I am calling to make a payment and she had me on hold for several minutes and then took my partial payment and said that the payment would come out in 5-7 days. Based on her statement telling me to call Naca, I took that as confirmation of cw recieving Naca proposal. I will be calling Naca on 3/23/09 for an update as they instructed. It will be 35 days from when they submitted. I had two previous denials from cw- 2/5/09 and 2/16/09 and when I spoke with the rep at cw to see if they recieved Naca propopal. Then suddenly I had an approval on the cw website 2/23/09. I really dont know what to think. I'm just counting down to 3/23/09 for my first update with NACA.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

your right, I think that is what I will do. I am just trying to make sure CW is informed and everything is in order as I am approaching 5 months behind and I dont want something terrible sneaking up on me like a forclosure proceedings. I was under the impressions that collection efforts cease while modification is in process. I would hope that CW will honor this, not because of NACA, but because of the orginal modification they offered me that has not yet expired. I still dont like that statement of having returned signed mod documents from me. I might call back to get another rep and see if they see the same thing.

Well teenut this just reinforces me to not call CW at all in this process!!! I noticed that since NACA sent in our restructure I have not been getting any automated CW calls. I hope this is a very good sign but I shouldn't speak to soon as the phone could ring any minute.
That does sound very disturbing that they show signed documents that you did not authorize---scary---

Yeah very scary. Especially knowing CW reputation. I am checking my account online daily and paying attention to my principle loan balance because the mod I received will increase it, so if that changes, then I know they did something foul. I want to think the rep just didn't know what she was talking about or said that to rush me off the phone. But like I said I am going to call back to see what another rep tells me.

LOL, Yeah that does give you something to think about. When you go to the site the first thing you see is the new take over from BOA. So I guess there are going to be alot of layoffs when its complete. I think this is going to add even more confusion to this big mess. Yes CW was bought by BOA a while ago, but they stayed in the background, but know they are definantly taking over. And I have received several emails from them to let me know itsa coming. I think this is a good time for me to switch banks!

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

Ok, I called CW back and this time spoke with the loss prevention dept. I know now that loss prevention, home retention, and advocacy dept all means COLLECTION DEPT. They are all the same, just with different numbers. You just have a better chance not to speak with someone out of the country when you call them as oppose to the home retention dept. Well the rep I spoke with was much nicer and said she sees no signed documents for my mod. (Whew!) I asked her again about the "negotiator" hoping to get a different anwer, but she said the same thing that there is none. She says there is nothing noted about NACA either. But she did try to get me to set up my first payment with the CW mod. I dont understand why since I havent accepted it. Oh well at least I know they last rep lied about the docs being signed, then again I dont because every rep tells you something different especially since she tried to set up that payment.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

I know its been a while but really had nothing to update. I have been checking CW site and NACA daily. Today I checked CW and finally my documents from NACA are showing as processing on my file. Apparently, they wait until other MOD info has dropped off before they post it. My mod from CW still shows approved though and my paperwork was due back by the 2/13th. I really hate this process, but I know I need to be patient. I am planning on trying to scrap together a mortg payment for this month to buy us some time.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

I checked the CW site today and my CW offer shows cancelled as borrower did not return info, but my NACA mod shows as active processing. It says all collection activity is suspended and we should have more info on 4/15. I am soooo very hopeful that NACA can get it done. Especially after the wave of approvals that I've seen on this site. I am just happy to know that my info has been received.

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

WHOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!! I did an online chat with NACA today to check the status of my proposal. The rep Jacqueline wanted to know what number I was at so she could call me now. So Im thinking oh oh. I gave her my work number and she called right away. She told me she had good news and didnt want to type it all. She said that CW accepted 2600 proposals from there members and MINES WAS ONE OF THEM!!!!!! She said said my file was noted by CW on 3/19 that it was approved. The only thing is she said she doesnt have the exact details of the modification, but that it should be want they proposed. She said to expect a package within 2 weeks!!!!! This is the best news I have had in a long while. My daughter turns 13 today and we are taking her out to celebrate, but now we can celebrate so much more! So hang in there everybody. I have been trying for this since Nov 08 when I first went deliquent. Naca submitted proposal 2/26 approved 3/19!!

re: Approved! Approved! Approved! NACA/CW SUCCESS!!

I was one of the 2600 approved for 3.352 for the life of the loan. I told my wife we will celebrate until I saw it in writing and ready to signed. Last night, I received a call from CW collections team and they want to offer me a mod since I was 4 months behind and I told them how CW left hand does not know what right hand is doing, how CW was on NBC and finally I told them I was working with NACA and I was approved for lower rates. Also, I received a payment restructure for my negotiator thru mail it's pretty much I have to pay my second for a thousand more form what I normally pay. It so pathetic and despicable how CW deal with their customer. I thing the only honest one is HeHoo.
