I could not beleive she really replied to me! haha 2. 60 days from when? What happened to 45 days. I do know its going to take a long time so not a huge deal. 3. I wish I could watch some kind of status and see what was going on so I know that something actually is taking place. That is the most stressful part. For all I know the electronic submit didn't go thru and I'm waiting for nothing. I guess I will have to trust NACA when they say it was submitted and in the hands of CW. Even though that is a tough one! in the hands of CW....Yikes |

However, it has allowed me to contemplate my plan for each and every possible scenario. Everything from sending extra payments to keep my home to walking away has its place on my list of "if - then" preparations. |

That is another thing I worry about also. I am relying on the fact that all success stories with NACA and CW that we don't read about now, have their issue fixed so they don't need the support any longer.

hi denised yep, we are 100% done, CW has made the changes to our account and closed the modification, I can honestly tell you I don't think we would have gotten such a good modification if it hadn't been for Naca, so i advocate using them 100% when possible. I am here meandering around posting help or suggestions when I can, I am thankful for the support of loansafe and will do whatever i can to support others still going thru this nightmare, I would say have patience, yeah right!

I called BoA today and asked if they had been contacted by NACA on my behalf. She says "who?" I repeat NACA. she says "nope, nuh uh, is there anything else I can help you with?" WHAT! I immediately called NACA, they told me that there is no way BoA did not recieve my NACA proposal! It was electronically sent on Jan 17. My negotiator called me back tonight and and told me that BoA did recieve their proposal and he gave me the name and direct line of three of the BoA contacts that he works with. He has given me his phone number and sent me an email tonight, so I could contact him that way as well. That felt great! To have an actual person I can contact at NACA and BoA. He said they are very busy but I may have an answer by Feb 17. Depending on who the investor is on my loans. I have my fingers crossed! |

Our first increase was 600 bucks a month! The next increase we will not be able to make at all. We are scraping by right now. Im just waiting for things to start popping up like a car breaks down or the plumbing explodes..... We tried to refi with several different people. Our house is not worth enough to refi. In fact we were only 14k short! That was November though who knows what our house is worth now. How about you? |

The reason I ask is I had a market analysis done on my house and today the realtor sent me an email about this program she heard of today that she thought we would qualify for. There are alot of restrictions, you actually have to have low income and live in a rural area! Perfect for me ! This is something I am goiong to look into too. Here is the link, maybe it will help you, can't hurt right! USDA Rural Development Home Page |

Hi Denised, I'm also from Cali and just quick question as to what type of letter you sent to the Sen Feisntein or Boxer. I'm on my 3rd month behind on March and NACA just submitted my papers last week. CW still has not responded with my own mod so contacting the senator or congress is my next plan. Thanks in advanced. |

The reply I got back from the Senator seemed cookie cutter which is to be expected. It tells me to contact my lender and try to work it out with them first (which is my main complaint in the letter I sent). It does have information to send back to them. I sent the letter by going to the website and clicking contact Dianne or something like that. I also sent it to Boxer and one other guy in Palo Alto. Here is the letter I got: I have received your correspondence seeking help with your mortgage situation. I recognize that thousands of Americans are hurting due to our Nation's foreclosure crisis, and I hope that my staff and I may be able to help. The first step, if you are struggling with an unaffordable or delinquent mortgage, is to contact your lender as soon as possible. Some lenders may provide options to help borrowers through difficult financial times. If you need help tracking down your lender or locating government resources that may be available to help lower your mortgage payments, call (800) 995-4673 to speak with a housing counselor approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD-approved counselors may also represent you in negotiations with your lender if you need this assistance. A complete list of HUD-approved counselors is available at Housing Counseling: California - HUD. To address record-high foreclosure rates among American homeowners, on July 30, 2008, the President signed the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (Public Law 110-289) into law. This important legislation created a new program within the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) to help homeowners facing the threat of foreclosure. The HOPE for Homeowners Program will allow the FHA to refinance mortgages in certain cases where banks voluntarily provide loan modifications. I urge you to contact the FHA directly at 1-800-CALL-FHA to inquire about your eligibility for this program. Additionally, if you would like further assistance from my office, please complete the attached Privacy Release Form and return it to Morgan Galli in my San Francisco office at the address below. To expedite this process please include the following information with your Privacy Release Form: oThe name of your lender oThe account number oThe balance of your mortgage oThe total loan amount of your mortgage oYour current interest rate and monthly payment oThe estimated value of your home oOther agencies and organizations you have previously contacted For more information and resources for dealing with mortgage delinquency and foreclosure, please visit the "Subprime Mortgage Crisis" page of the "Priorities" section of my website at .: United States Senator Dianne Feinstein, California :: Home :.. Again, thank you for writing. I have attached a list of resources that may be of help during this difficult time, and I hope you are able to successfully resolve your mortgage issue. Best regards. Sincerely, A Dianne Feinstein United States Senator DF:ma |

Our account is finished and updated on our CW online account now too so keep on praying. It just takes time and I know from personal experience it can be very stressful. |

I tried NACA, I submitted all the paperwork and they told me it would take up to 60 days to get an answer, that was back in the begining of october. Since then I got 2 emails from them, one in december saying that they are still waiting for my servicer's answer, and another one in january saying that the servicer has not yet accepted the NACA restructure. I also have my first mortgage with countrywide, do you think I should still be hopeful about help coming from NACA |
