Nearest office is 100 miles from hear also. If you do choose to call on phone, be very very patient. I had to call back right after my last phone consult, had to hold the line for 1 1/2 hours, Just kept phone to my ear, watched tv, went online, just whatever I was doing. It will keep updating you as to what caller you are, but you will get thru. I think they are swamped with calls for help right now. |

You don't have to attend a meeting if there is not one near you. you can do your counseling session over the phone. And don't bother calling, go to their website fill out all the information, once you are done you can print a fax coversheet for them, fax your paperwork and choose phone counseling session. they give you a list of days and times available, choose the one that works for you and they WILL call you. Be prepared, I had two phone calls with them and each lasted over two hours. |

I'm hoping for a little feedback from you "Veterans" so, I can start off on the right foot and avoid wasted time and energy etc... I have a first Mtg with CW for $200K which is a 3 year ARM set to adjust in Sept 09...I have a 50K 2nd MTG which is with CitiMtg that is a fixed 15year....both are interest only loans and my house is now worth about $225K so, I'm upside down on top of it all. I made one phone call so far to CW and the lady told me to call back in May that there were no programs available to me at that time etc...She probably was a customer care rep and really didn't have any authority to do anything to begin with but, I was just polite and said Ok. What should I do now? I have read a lot of good things here about NACA and they seem to be helping a lot of people. Should I call CW back and ask for a different dept.? I was checking out NACA's website and it looks like I have to attend a workshop first before I can begin to do anything but, the closest workshop to me doesn't begin until late March. Should I jump to stage# 2 and send in my submission & then make an appointment? Do I have to attend the workshop first? I have never been late on any of my payments be it Mtg or Credit card and my credit score is in the 700's and I'm trying to keep it that way if at all possible. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and thank you all very much!! I think this site is going to be very, very helpfull!! Chuck |

We have contacted CW to start the Loan Mod process. My situation is very special lol Im not the home owner.. The home belongs to my bf solely. But his wife who he is seperated from is also on the deed but not the mortgage. So......she walked out and screwed him royally then went for child support too. Dont get me wrong she's entitled to child support. Anyways. She did it all for him when they were together and he had no clue of the details to the laon even though its all in his name only....yeah yeah i know its his own fault buteither way i dont want him to loose his home. he had no clue so now he's learning it from the book of hard knocks. -Stats he owes $132,000 only one mortgage. -he's at 9.5% adjustable which increases to 10.1% in Feb 09 and again in Aug 09 - currently his monthly mortgage payments are $1270 -we do clear the 150-200 surplus with my income. -hes 8 months behind in payments -CW has started the foreclosure process but i dont get this they dont have a sell date yet. how can the house be in foreclosure for 8 months and they dont have a sell date. dont get me wrong its good for us they explained starting the laon mod porcesss and this stops the sale date while they review for loan mod. - he's not living in the home because he cant afford the lights much less the mortgage payments. We (meaning i am willing to help him completely) want to save his house if we have a future together we need to be able to one day buy a new (other )home or stay in this one. CW says wait 45 to 60 days to hear back and yes reading all your posts really prepared me for my first round with them (lol ) as i am viewing this as an all out prepare for the blows battle where i will be resilent and keep getting up for the next round. So whats next its only been one day i know lol im being impatient lol. But what do i do now?? just wait?? What are our chances??? According to CW with both our incomes we are at $243 surplus per month but thats are bare essentials . He works a job where hes not even getting 40 hrs and making next to nothing like almost minimum wage. And hes paying almost half his income in child support. But my income brings it majorally up to where we have the surplus you all recommended. Are they going to gives up a hard time because we admitted his not currently living in the home.?? We did tell them we would like to move back in if the loan mod goes through.... Heres my other thing what should we do should we move back in and fight it all the way?? or should we wait and hear from them?? I think if we move in granted we would have deposit of $500 for power we could start saving the rent from my place and since hes still not paying mortgage we could save up money for when we are ready to start paying... Someone give me feed back please tell me waht you think yall sound like pros lol. |

I would stay on this site however, as it seems to have a lot of people here who have already been through the hoops and have great advice and experience. From what I'm gatthering so far....it seems like the first step is to contact your mtg company and begin the modification process. This sounds like a big joke and a game to the mtg companies and seems to me like most people are not getting to far this way....unless your way behind which you say you are....then, they may do something. Have you checked out the site www.naca.com ? It seems like a lot of people have had great success with them and I just signed up myself and I'm begining the process with them as well. Keep reading and sharing and eventually we'll get this all figured out |

Naca submitted on 10/6 my workout status on CW site changed on 10/31 to show they were reviewing it. the change to show the mod was approved didn't show up until 1/7 when they actually sent me docs (found out from Naca on 12/12) i sent my docs back on 1/13 and the new status just posted today 1/29. I know saying be patient doesn't help, it didn't help me either! but that's the only thing you can do. I called naca at least once a week for status updates and kept asking them to call or email CW for updates. I only called CW a couple of times, too stressful dealing with thier confusion! Hang in there denised! | |

Do you have to attend a workshop or get hold of someone on the phone to get your NACA member ID and password? Thanks in advance and apologies if this was already answered somewhere. |

Once completed you will be auto logged in and receive a NACA ID via email. From there you can schedule your calls, make sure your docs have been received. The best method of getting them the docs is via fax but make sure you print out your customized fax cover sheet!!! I can't stress this enough. NACA has an automated Fax system that scans the cover page for your NACA ID then routs the faxed documents into your own file. |

Someone else here mentioned that email submissions were not posting. No one seems to have an issue using customized cover sheets and faxing. Keep in mind that you can fax thru your pc if you have a modem. I do not trust online fax services but that's just me.. Last edited by luisren; 02-02-2009 at 10:40 AM.. Reason: mispellings... |

Looked up the number and saw that others have had a call from this number excessively and it was their refinance department. I can't believe it, its like slapping me in the face. I tried for months with no success to refinance. They should check the accounts that they are calling before they tease us! I tried calling back but got "all circuits busy" |

I am sure it is a random marketing call but it sure makes me mad! I did a couple times ask NACA for an update on the live chat they have but when the person finally came on they told me to call the 800 number and press 1 or whatever. We submitted Jan 17th so maybe now that it has been 3 weeks I will call just to keep myself feeling active with it |

Have you seen any? My proposal was sent to CW yesterday by NACA, hoping for the best. Received a fedex package from CW really bad offer no help to us. I did call CW and the Hope team and explained that this offer would not help my family. I advised them that the paystubs that I had submitted to them had alot of overtime on them that my company is just not offering anymore and that my income was overstated by 400.00 a month. I asked if I could speak to my negotiator about this and maybe have the numbers reworked. They told me to go ahead and fax in new paystubs. Does this mean that I would be starting all over again. The CW rep thought that maybe when they looked at my file they would see that the income was different and offer something else, have you heard of this happening, or was she just sugar coating to get me off the phone? I did receive a letter of intent back in Sept before I even started the process with CW do I need to worry? Thanks mommy1119 |

Mommy1119 NACa told us that we should be very careful about any offers sent to us by CW after the NACA process started. We were told that they may try to offer us all kinds of help and even lie to us to get us to not use NACA. We are sticking with NACA, seems that everyone here has received a good deal going with them. NACA also said that if we did decide to accept any offer from CW while working with them, then they would cease to do any further negotiating. So just be careful. |

I know that you are anxious to get an answer. However the response time is typically between 45 - 120 days. I will not receive an update from the lender regarding your file, it is in the hands of the negotiator who works with Countrywide. Please call 888-302-6222 option #1in sixty days for a status update. Take care and try not to stress it will all work out. We are doing great things in Connecticut this weekend on a campaign with NACA. We now have 90% of the CEO's on board from the major mortgage companies. Check out the latest on our website. |

Considering how many CW stories there are here, I just wish there were more than 5 or 6 successful NACA cases on this forum. |

If no actions then I will to call NACA for the update. Maybe it's a long process but this is my 3rd month I'm behind and collections are telling me if I don't pay them by March then they will start the pre-foreclosure process. |
