CW-- Hey, so when you contacted prez office or emailed barb desoer were you already working with NACA? Or getting no where w/ prez office so decided to apply to NACA? OR Were you just keeping in touch with everyone for obvious reasons? The reason I ask is because I have been reading and evryone says to email Barb d and it help etc, I was weary cuz I'm with NACA and do not want to be tricked by BofA (still a bank, lol) by them trying to offer me something less etc? Soory if this is confusing, but this is how I feel..lol..I did email and recieved callback from a jessica called her back and left message. Do you think I should just avoid barbs people or see whats up?? Thanks for ur opinion...............somewhere over the rainbow.....lol..keep fighting you guys..=) |

Katie I was just trying to do what ever possible but the Pres. office came back with a stupid mod and so now I am just wondering if I should trying to disentangle myself from Pres.Office so NACA can be more effective. I had also heard that someone's NACA file was closed by them so that makes me nervous. I think Barb's office is a separate deal.(?) |

I started a mod with CW back in Nov. 08 but since not hearing back from them I went with NACA in March 09. I was submitted by NACA on 3/18 and since not hearing back as of 5/19 I emailed Ms. D and got a call from her office a few hours later saying that they were going to assign a negotiator to my file. Got a call the next day telling me that my file had been reviewed and they had sent NACA an update so I should call them. Called NACA and they gave me BofA's offer. It was not acceptable to me since it is much higher than what NACA submitted me for so I told NACA to renegotiate for me. This was last week 5/21 so I am waiting to hear back with a (hopefully) second offer. I hope this helps. |

Thanks to everyone for any and all info, I can't believe I'm dealing with this as it is, let alone without this forum.... Hope4change-- I too started a mod w/ cw back in nov and yes approved and also denied four time for reasons they choose that day. After It hit me in the forehead what was going on, I informed myself and finally submitted to NACA 04/27, after not hearing I frantically called NACA and said my sale dates coming up so my status changed from in review to restucture-submit servicer and my cw acount had said I was good til 5/27 and that was status of 4/29 (but this wasnt info from naca it was from a mod that i never knew I applied for) I knew not to completely rely on that so NACA said they will send notice to stop sale blah blah, work ur plan b, CW knew nothing call back 5/27 etc..I called recontrust and was told there was no longer a sale date and also no new one...dont worry while in workout ur ok..talked again to naca was getting nervous...same ol..So reading here I thought I should email this barb lady and low and behold Jessica called from her office today, very nice sounded concerned and told me that my docs hadnt even been looked at but she sure would put a push on it and assign me a negotiator to call me back also gave me her numbers etc. if needed anything. We hung up. She asked me at one point if I had cash to send overnight etc just in case I was approved because the more money u send the better blah...I told her I had none, she said fannie mae is picky. So hopefully somethings brewing...ill let ya know..keep fingers crossed please..thanks |

I had one NACA rep quote me a new estimated payment of 2,300 with taxes and insurance (which made me very happy) but when I had my third phone appointment today, I got a different rep and she told me my car payments are too high (I agree but they're 75% payed off so it doesn't make sense to sell them and get into new car payments) and that my cell phone and cable bills are too high etc. and said we could afford a 3,700 payment. Although that's about what we're paying now - my wife lost her job a few years ago and we simply can't do this any longer (not to mention the house is upside down and we have a mountain of cc debt due to job loss). They said we didn't have a hardship because we make too much money but I don't understand how losing 60% of our household income doesn't qualify as a hardship. I told them everything in Los Angeles is completely inflated (groceries etc) and that salaries are relative but they didn't care. I was hoping for a miracle and didn't get it - but hey, at least I tried. |

So I recieve another call from cw it was a woman by the name of Wassette (or something close) she said she too was responding to the email I sent. I asked if she was following up on Jessica's call because I assumed she was from the President's office too because I sent the email there. She said no we work different departmentsand how could she help me. I told her the facts and she basically said your with NACA so work with them. She was pleasant and I appreciated her call. I never knew where she called from. Called Jessica for update and told her about call and she said she must be from collections and she would contact me as soon as she heard news of a negotiator assigned to my case, very pleasant. I then online chatt w/ Jackeline(from NACA) and asked her thoughts. She said it is ok to talk to your lender, bt remain smart etc...stay close to NACA etc...So what do you all think?? Kinda a pattern here? |

I have a few questions, how long did it take for them to tell you this, why on the third call? So basically they never submitted your file for review. I mean who reviewed it in the first place? Getting your hopes up for 2300ish then telling you later 3700ish?? Thats a hugh difference, sounds like someone made an error. I don't know what to tell you except that there are other routes beside NACA. Good luck. It aint over til its over. |

Sorta seemed like it was the call where they go over your budget (but we had already gone over it roughly before on the previous call) and prepare the file for submisson. I almost go the impression that this new woman saw my monthly bills (car, phone, cable, etc) and since all those things combined could be a mortgage payment in many parts of the country, she just didn't see how someone in that situation qualifies for a hardship. And while she may have a point, I'm not going to sell off everything I own to stay in a house that even if I sold all these things, I would be hard pressed to afford. I'm better off selling the house in a short sale, paying off my debts and starting over. I'm prepared to do that, I was just hoping I wouldn't have to. I emailed the first NACA rep today and told her what happened - maybe she'll step in but I'm not counting on it. |

Isn't it a shame that in order to stay in your home you practically have to be slightly above poverty level, but if you earned a honest living BY WORKING your punished...You have a hugh hardship and should commended for keeping it all together this long, no your punished you get NO HELP Its like your forced into it. Its not all black and white either. Im at the end too, maybe ill get a answer one day. What a long journey, I'll never forget the day I caught on to CW games. I was changed forever..I had a nice sweet lesson on power and greed. Hang in Mike |

My original rep called me back and basically told me that since I make (insert dollar amount here) a month I can afford the mortgage. It doesn't matter that it's 2/3 my income for some reason. She mentioned again that I have very expensive car payments which I do but cars are frickin' expensive!!! Sorry I didn't lease like every other person in CA. I BOUGHT my cars on payments I could then afford. Now that they're 75% payed off I should just sell them at a huge loss only to get into another car payment that wil cost me more over the next five years?! Sorry, I'm just venting here. The house is upside down. I no longer have any other recourse than a hail mary prinicpal reduction (any suggestions?) or a short sale - assuming CW will approve one which who knows there.... |

Unfortunately he was unable to help me. He says he doesnt even see the mod documents in the system. And I left my docs at home so I couldn't tell him what phone numbers were on the docs. Not sure what that would do but oh well I will call back tomorrow and try again. I feel a little uneasy that he was trying to collect my orig payment and didn't have any notice of a mod that was completed but I know from experience that this can happen depending on who you talk to....so tomorrow is another day. This will be never ending .... I'm not sure I will even feel relief once (if) everything is updated.... Especially after reading some of these stories where people had their mods canceled after 8 months! |

I sometimes feel like Alice in Wonderland and I have fallen down the rabbit hole. Isn't is just great that our loans mods are being negotiated by someone being paid below minimum wage in India????? And you never get to speak to them???? Sheer insanity..... Then when you finally get your paperwork, now they can't find it???? BofA should have changed their name to Insane Clown Posse of India! I will be calling NACA tomorrow as it has been two weeks since my last call. I just got the intent to accelerate letter this week.....3 months late after tomorrow. Oh joy, I can't wait to sit on hold for an hour..... |

Wow...I don't know even what to post anymore...Rozuki classic "Isn't is just great that our loans mods are being negotiated by someone being paid below minimum wage in India????? And you never get to speak to them???? Sheer insanity....." I told one CW rep that my negotiator is probably in India, she chuckled and said "actually he is." She told me I didnt need to call him "because he talks to only to investors" and I would be notified. I responded "Ok, smart one why call him a negotiator, have you ever thought of that? I mean it makes no sense, is that the new bambooler? I mean even if you really are just reading what they tell you and you have no idea of the truth value. IT STILL MAKES NO SENCE, YOU LOOK LIKE A DUMBASS FOR THEM, UR GONNA LET THEM DO THAT TOO.....Yeah I did.....Hey I've been nice for almost one year shy a week someone had to take one for the team....The insane clown posse of India are actually running lives of millions of Americans. awwww...Its like eachone of us are in a prison cell, all talking about the injstice done to us, the only difference is we are not in cells??? My therory of the Bushs making Obama the perfect pawn, just may go down in flames with our country in hand. |

Finally got someone to look into why this 19k is there. At first she told me that is usually the last payments missed and I said but 2 months isn't 19k so she put me on hold....eventually came back and said THAT IS WRONG!! I'm sending you new docs overnight! She apologized and had no idea how this happened! I'm so thankful for her finally someone listened! By the way she couldn't find my loan mod agreement already sent in it disappeared, how magical is that! You know they probably didn't read my letter and would have processed everything with out looking into it. I love this negotiator YAHOOO. She is great! Now....wait for docs again |

Turn up your ringer!!!! :P Yea the lady I talked to yesterday said "You know how when you get fedex packages it is usually 1 or 2 envelopes? Well imagine a giant Costco cart full of them...that is what we get everyday and more!" I said I can imagine but who is opening these! she didn't know who opens and scans etc or what the process is and mentioned that she can only see a certain level in the system. That explains when we call and the CS we talk to says I dont see anything about a mod and totally freaks us out |
