AHMSI from Citi SUCCESS!! - Page 2 - Loan Modification Forum

I called AHMSI and talked to a gentleman and he said that they got my paperwork that I faxed them and they don't need anything more right now, and that my processor will call me and let me know what they are going to do with my loan. The number I called was 949-790-3600 ext-40928 It seems to be a direct line to Jeanne Drakes office. I didnt have any luck with AHMSI standard number. Hope this helps good luck.

Thanks for your reply. I finally got a call this evening from someone who is working on our file. I need to fax one thing over to him tomorrow and we'll see from there. He did give me his phone number, fax number & email and said when I call to talk directly to him. His name is Bob. Has anyone else delt with him before?

Just an update and 1 question. I'm working with Bob at AHMI. I sent him an email asking to the status on my modification and he said I'm now in escrow analysis. Any one have any Idea what this means?

If you had a loan that wasn't being escrowed............most modifications require that an escrow be set up................so they most likely are just doing the analysis to look at how much the taxes are............and are they caught up to this point.

Claudia told me this yesterday, too, but we do have an escrow set up. Hmm...

We don't have an escrow account currently set up. Does this mean that we are pretty much approved for our mod they just need to get the figures in order? Can I atleast take this as a good sign?

It is all a part of the modification process with Chase..........they will check this on all modifications...........

I'm confused. I was talking to a Mike last week with AHMI and I asked him who are investor was he said the investor was AHMI? I thought they were just a servicer? This loan was with Ameriquest then transfered to Citires then to AHMI. Could this be?

they are just a servicer..................ask the next person you talk to .............but they are not at liberty to let you know unless your loan is backed by Fannie or Freddie.

Has anyone had this happen....I had a credit alert come up today. (I use an online credit monitoring) I went on to this and the alert was for my credit score going UP! Nothing has been reported to the credit agencies since I started the loan mod process back in December. But today my credit report says citires (who transfered my loan to AHMI) reported my laon balance from $250000.00 to $0. Do you think this is due to the mod in process (which I have yet to be told it I'm approved for nor have I received an offer) or just due to the transfer of Citi to AHMI. Thats what I think but I'm just searching for any sign of good news since I have not gotten a yes or a no. I would think if it was no they would of told me by now right?

I was with Ameriquest-Citires-Now AHMI. I've been trying to get a mod since early Feb. We have not made a payment since 9/08. Is anyone having any good luck with AHMI? The waiting is killing me. Last update was they are waiting on escrow anaylsis. Does this mean it's approved and waiting for the figures? What!

they would be waiting for an escrow analysis as a part of the process because if you are not escrowed for the taxes and insurance presently...........under the new modification terms you would be.
and if you are presently escrowed for taxes and insurance.........because you are in default and those would not be getting paid...........they would need to check and see if AHMSI had to pay them and in that case the escrow shortage will be a part of the modification.

I just emailed my neg for a status update. Last time he said middle of the month he should have an answer. I've been trying to email once a week just to keep my file active so I'm not forgotten. All I could get out of him was "Everything is moving fwd. Middle of the month"
Well this is great to know but is this hopefull news? I wish he would share a little more info with me.

I emailed my neg yesterday and here is his responce.
My recommendation has been submitted for management review. I am waiting on there response

Anyone know if this means it was recommended for approval? Would they have told me by now that I was denied? I've been waiting since early Feb for AHMI. Any help would be appreciated. I'm a nervous wreck!

When I was told this, I had my answer in about a week. I think this is pretty much the final step in getting approved.

Success!!!!!!!! I received my mod docs in the mail today!!! It's a great mod!!!! All back payments have been added to the end of the loan and interest rate was reduced to 4% for life of the loan vs a 8.75 ARM!! I'm sooooo happy! Thanks to all of you for your support and Thanks *** for your help and advice! All of you who are waiting be patient good things will come!!!!!
