Hello everyone I have just been put into foreclosure, although I sent paper work to my mtg. comp. 8 weeks ago for a modification on my loan. I would call every week to check if they had gotten my fax and no one would ever help me. Until two weeks ago someone was nice enough to help and did some research, only to tell me they had never received my fax 6 weeks earlier. She told me to re-fax all my paper work for the mod. program and I did with the fax confirmation that I got from the first time I sent the work over on 6/24 which proved I sent my paperwork to them and they received it. I was told it would now take 6 to 8 weeks for the process to take place for me to find out if I am approved or denied for the modification. Two days later I got a call that they received my paperwork and again 6-8 weeks before I hear anything, I also was making a payment on that day so he transferred me to a different department, where they told me I had just been put into foreclosure, they gave me the number of the attorney handling the foreclosure. I spoke with them and they told me it takes 8 months in the state of NJ for this process to take place. I have checked on that and that is the case. The attorneys office also told me that my modification would happen well before the foreclosure and if we were denied for the modification that they would have other alternatives for us. My question is has anyone else been in this situation, and did it actually work out?? We are three months behind on our mortgage, but my husband can take money out of his annuity to catch us up, I am afraid to do that and nothing comes of this modification, to lower our interest rate, we can not afford that payment of $2600.00 a month anymore it is just killing us and to boot I was just laid off from my job, collecting unemployment, which is next to nothing. Sorry for the long explanation just hoping I can get some answers to make this process go a little better. Oh and by the way yesterday I was told it is now going to take 60 to 90 days for me to get an answer if we are approved. |

I just wanted to thank everyone, I sent off the emails as *** advised and an hour later I received a phone call from one of the CEO'S from Litton Loan he could not have apologized more for my situation and told me my home is being taken out of foreclosure my interest rate and monthly payments would be lowered to fit our income, and thanked me for making him aware of the way I was treated and hoped this was an isolated incident that would now not happen again. So to everyone out there don't give up there's hope and help. Good Luck all and again thanks to all. He also told me he would like to have this done next week!!!! They still have lack of communication among each other the foreclosure fees were to be removed and they told me today I would have to pay 2500 towards them |
