Re: In the process on my 2nd with Litton

Well I am officially a success. The paperwork is all signed and sent. The money has exchanged hands and my account updated as of my log in this morning. The new payment is on there with the new interest rate and the payoff date of 2021.

A big thank you to all who advised and encouraged me through this very scary time. You all made it easier to cope.

For those of you still in or beginning the fight~ persistance is the only thing you need to help get you through this. I had no idea what I was doing. I took everyones advice and did exactly what they told me. When Chase said "call back in 2-3 days" I called back the next day. I kept my cool and was extra nice to them. When I was frustrated, I vented AFTER I got off the phone with them to anyone in ear shot or here if necessary.

I was very lucky. Both of my modifications were quick. Chase took a month and Litton took about two once they received the second set of paperwork. (They claimed to never have received the initial paperwork sent 5/7) My 80/20 (80 was interest only) loan that I was paying a combined $2361.84 plus taxes and insurance I pay on my own down to $1213.60 at least for 5 years and then it will go to a little over $1600. I can finally sleep peacefully and not wonder how much longer we will be able to hang on. We can now comfortably expand our family. I was too scared to have another child as I was so uncertain what the future held for us.

Keep on~keeping on! I wish all of you success in the near future. Keep reaching out to the people here and you will be fine.

A BIG thank you to Moe for creating this forum where all of us could come and educate ourselves and share our stories.

Hello, Congradulations. I am starting my application and was wondering what financials did you use? I was told to use a $100-300 extra income as a base for the financials.
Just thought I would ask?
Congradulations.

Thanks! That sounds about right. I showed an overage of $198.00 for both Chase and Litton and was approved on both. Litton took a little longer but nothing compared to some of the other stories on here!

The reduced my rate from 11.75% to 8% and instead of a 15 year balloon. I am 2 years into a 15 year note with a lower payment and paying principal and interest.

I did have to pay a $435.00 processing fee but that was no big deal in the long run. I still cant believe the great deals I got from both. I actually smile when I make my payments on my home.

If you need any other help please do not hesitate to ask! Good luck to you and keep us posted!
