WHHHAAATTHHHFFF???? If you do the addition on the online statement, it only comes up to $4213.83 not $5034.96. I called them and they said that it will be changed and fixed within the next two weeks...we'll see about that. I e-mailed the statement to Marshall so he knows what is going on...ultimately, I have the signed and notarized modification and hopefully they have to stick to that....this is going to drive me nuts in the meantime. I think I'll call every few days until it's fixed to my liking....just another example of how you have to stay on top of these lenders (especially AHMSI)even after your modification!

Oh and the new statement also says it's a conventional ARM!!!!! WTF!!!!

Okay....now I'm thinking it's almost over! Christopher Lindsey is an awesome negotiator! He fixed my statement and took off all of the late charges and what not so my statement is now reading correct.....fixed 6% conventional! He even called me this morning to make sure that he touched base with me....what a great guy!

Now all I have to do is make the first payment in October and we are in great shape!

**Small Update**

So, they hadn't posted my payment of $5034 to the principal balance yet so I decided to have it be my first mod payment instead (October) so I wouldn't have to go through the whole certified funds bs.....they are going to post the $4213.83 to my payment and $584 to my escrow shortage and the rest to principal....I know it's not much to the principal balance but at least I'm going 2 full months without paying a mortgage payment....and that is great in my book. I'm going to take that money and start paying off some small credit cards so I can bring our credit scores up to the 700's so we can get ourselves out of debt totally in a few years....at least that's the plan! So far so good and we are so happy this is OVER!!!!

Congratulations Erika! You had a long hard fight. I hope your hubby is safe and soon you will both be celebrating the Holidays with Joy and Peace in your hearts. I can't remember what it is like to lie down on my pillow without tears at night. We are still struggling, we have an attorney working with Countrywide and now in the negotiating process. I just got the first offer yesterday from CW and it made me sick to my stomach but my attorney had to remind me it is their first offer. I think of you a lot.

Well, we've made two payments on our new loan modification....and it seems as if we are saving approximately $250 per month....our payment is around $4165 (which is still a lot) but somewhat manageable. This month has been a little bit of a struggle because my husband hasn't been working as much overtime so I've really had to squeeze our budget but things are working out okay.

I just wanted to encourage everyone to keep fighting.....it took me 10 long months to get my mod and I believe everyone here DESERVES to get one too! Fight on!
