Hi Cat & everyone, I got my documents today from CW. I do have a couple of ?? when you get a chance....They really didn't break down the numbers...they have added $5082.24 in interest and $165 fee. It says the interest rate is fixed @6.25 and the payment will be P&I of $1461.04 on a loan balance of $231039.29. When I run the numbers on a mortgage calculator the payment should be about $50 a month less. Also I'm only 2 months behind so the $5000+ is more than 2 months worth. I'm very happy that they are modifying but any thoughts on the figures? Thanks!

Here are some questions that might help clarify things for you..............

when they do the modifications the amortization is now done on the remainder of the note...............so how many years were left at this point on your note?

also the interest from a payment is actually being paid out from the month before................so depending on when the first new payment begins.......that would actuall be paying the month before in interest..........

if you were two payments behind that is actually three payments in interest............and so forth..........

Does this make sense?

I just read this terrible article on aol....about a woman in Taunton Ma ...age 53 that was facing foreclosure and hadn't told the husband....she faxed the suicide note to the lender and then shot herself.....so sad....I wish more people could find this website....

larry king has show on foreclosure tonight...the "experts" are saying call the lender before you are late and they will work with you....if only it was that easy...and I'm so tired of people acting like all of us were the irresponsible ones getting the adjustable rate....10 million people are now upside down on their mortgages...never mind the billions of dollars that we lost on our down payments.....unfortunately they have not mentioned loansafe.org....I think you should call Larry king's show, Moe & Cat..so you can appear the next time..

Thanks everyone....to Angie....I am very happy that I was able to get my mortgage resolved and that I still have my home.......I feel sad and frustrated for the many other families out there that aren't getting help......maybe we should all brainstorm how to get the word out about this website...I tried to get an editoral in my local paper talking about loansafe.org...but they didn't print it....I've written to Lou Dobbs, Larry King, Michael Moore and #1 issue at CNN.

Hi guys....Well. I was TOO Quick to move to Success!!!..I have been monitoring my modification progress on the CW website...said everything approved...if acct not updated by 8/15/08 call back....I called today...spoke with Sheila....MY MOD is ON HOLD?!?...now she is saying I qualify for some "Heart" program and I will get New docs in 5-7 days??? Does know the terms???...I already sent in notarized docs back in July....can't give me any other details?? anybody else have this happen....HeLp please....

Hang tight and let me know when you receive the new docs.............the Heart program might have even better terms, than the 6.25% fixed for 30 years..........but we will have to see.........

Thanks Cat....I did receive ANOTHER set of docs today....crazy crazy!...BUT these are from HOPE &CW with less favorable terms(rate frozen for 5 yrs @7.5 which would be $200 more a month).......spoke w/sheila..she didn't know what was going on...said I should receive docs from Heart....I hope you're right...THANKS again!
