GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE,

FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO SAY GOD BLESS THIS WEBSITE. IF I HAVEN'T HEARD ABOUT IT, Countrywide Home Loans STILL WOULD HAVE ME STRESSING ABOUT MY LOAN MODIFICATION.

ORIGINALLY I POSTED MY THREAD AS COOKIE26581 TITLE "LOAN MODIFICATION DELAY - HELP!!!" BUT ANYWAYS. I COULD NOT LOGIN AS COOKIE26581.

HERE WAS MY STORY:
TWO YEARS AGO ON FEBRUARY 2006, I GOT MY FIRST HOUSE, WHICH THEY MONTHLY MORTGAGE AMOUNT FOR THE FIRST TWO YEARS WAS $1,320.62 AND IT WAS SCHEDULED TO ADJUST IN FEBRUARY 2008.

WELL, I GOT ONE MONTH BEHIND BECAUSE OF SOME MAJOR CIRCUMSTANCES AND CALLED Countrywide Home Loans FOR ASSISTANCE. I FAXED ALL THE REQUIRED DOCS TO APPLY FOR A LM, WHICH WAS BACK IN NOVEMBER 2007.

IN JANUARY 2008, I WAS APPROVED FOR A LOAN MODIFICATION, WHICH MY PAYMENTS WOULD BE $1341.20 AT 7% STARTING MARCH 2008 THROUGH 2013. (IT WAS $20 AND SOME CHANGE MORE BUT I COULD LIVE WITH THAT UNTIL I GET MY FINANCIAL SITUATION SORTED OUT). I SENT THE PAPERWORK NOTARIZED AND Countrywide Home Loans RECEIVED IT JANUARY 29, 2008.

STARTING IN MARCH, LIKE A GOOD CUSTOMER, I STARTED SENDING MY PAYMENTS AS AGREED. BUT I KEPT GETTING MAIL AND TELEPHONE CALLS INDICATING THAT MY LOAN WAS IN DEFAULT BECAUSE ORIGINALLY I HAD AN ADJUSTABLE UNDER THE OLD TERMS OF THE LOAN. IT WAS SCHEDULE TO ADJUST IN FEBRUARY 2008. THIS IS WHY I WANTED TO THE LM AND I WAS ALREADY ONE MONTH BEHIND PRIOR TO THE LM.

ANYWAY, I HAD A HARD TIME TO GET A HOLD OF MY NEGOTIATOR. BUT I FINALLY SPOKE WITH HIM ON MARCH 28, 2008, WHICH I HAD TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THE SITUATION WITH THE TELEPHONE CALLS AND LETTERS. NOT ONLY THAT I COULDN'T EVEN SEND THE PAYMENT VIA WEB. AND EVERY TIME, I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, I SPOKE WITH A DIFFERENT PERSON WHO WAS GOING BY THE OLD TERMS OF THE LOAN. BECAUSE NO ONE UPDATED THE COMPUTER. AND I HAVE TO EXPLAIN MY ENTIRE EXPLANATION OVER AGAIN. THE NEGOTIATOR, SAID THAT AS LONG AS I HAVE THE PAPERWORK APPROVING THE LM, I WAS TO SEND THE PAYMENT TO 400 COUNTRYWIDE WAY, SIMI VALLEY, CALIFORNIA IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER'S CHECK.
BY THE WAY, IT'S FUNNY HOW THEY TOLD ME THAT THE ONLY WAY TO CONTACT MY NEGOTIATOR WAS VIA EMAIL AND THAT HIS EXTENSION WAS NOT WORKING (HMMMM). I EVEN LEFT A MESSAGE FOR HIS SUPERVISOR, ONE TIME.

ANYWAY, TO MAKE A LONG SHORT STORY. THEY HAD NOT UPDATED THEIR COMPUTER AND THEY FED-EXED ME PAPERWORK INDICATING THAT THEY WERE REDUCED MY INTEREST RATE EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2008 AND IT WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL JUNE 30, 2013. MY JULY PAYMENT WILL BE $1,564.02. BUT MY ACCOUNT IS DUE FOR $2,823.13 (THIS IS BECAUSE THEY NEVER PUT THE LM IN AND THIS IS THE AMOUNT THAT I WAS BEHIND UNDER THE OLD TERMS). THIS LETTER WAS DATED MAY 19, 2008.

NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS FRUSTRATED ME EVEN FURTHER AND FIVE MONTHS HAVE GONE BY WITH NO RESULTS. I WROTE DOWN NAMES, TIMES AND DATES, EVERY TIME I CALLED. I STILL SENT MY LM PAYMENT AS AGREED. AND THAT'S WHEN I POSTED HELP ON THIS WEBSITE FOR ASSISTANCE.

*** RESPONDED (THANKS *** YOU ARE A SWEETIE) AND GAVE ME THE NUMBER FOR TABITHA ON 6/2/08, I BELIEVE IT WAS. TABITHA GOT RIGHT ON IT. IT TOOK A WEEK. SHE WAS VERY DILIGENT IN TELEPHONING ME TO LET ME WHAT THE STATUS WAS IN GETTING THIS SITUATION CORRECT.

WELL, SHE CALLED ME YESTERDAY MORNING AND GAVE ME THE GREAT NEWS. THAT EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN CARE OF. SHE HAD REVERSE EVERYTHING OFF THE COMPUTER AND INPUT THE CORRECTIONS.

I JUST CHECK THE Countrywide Home Loans WEBSITE TO VIEW MY ACCOUNT AND HOT DIGGITY DOGG!!! THE CORRECTIONS ARE THERE. BUT ONE QUESTION, ON THE WEBSITE, THEY HAVE MY PAYMENT AS $1320.62, WHICH IS $20.00 AND SOME CHANGE LESS. BUT THAT WAS THE ORIGINAL PAYMENT AMOUNT PRIOR TO GETTING THE LM. IS THAT THE AMOUNT, THEY SHOULD HAVE LEFT IT, INSTEAD OF THE $1,341.20 FOR THE LM???

Don't even want to think about what would happen if we didn't have ***! (She even has email procedures named after her!) Tabitha is wonderful. She is/was our negotiator and I told her she really was 'magical.' If anyone can do it she can!

Tabitha just called and said that my payment is $1,341.20 as agreed per LM. She said with the corrections made, yesterday. Sometimes, it will reflect the old payment. She said that it will correct itself, when I make the July payment. She also said, that after the payment has been posted for July and it still shows the $1320.62 amount, I should call her, right away. Also, it won't take any payments less than $1,341.20.

In the words of my two year old nephew, "YEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Finally, I have peace of mind after all this time. I could not have done without this wonderful website.

Hi Everyone,

Another update:

I received a letter from CW, which indicated that they will making corrections on my credit report to the credit bureaus in regards to the March, April and May payments for the mortgage.

This is such great news, it's about time.
