The reason i ask is because i have heard that Bank of New York, allows Countrywide to make the final decision. Thats what i have read on her from another poster.

Now i am even more confused. I recieved an e-mail from Jeanette this a.m. stating the following:

"Good morning,

I'm in the office now. My records show you were enrolled in the Home Savers Advance Program. I mainly need to speak to you to inform you to please contact them at 877-643-2788. They are a team of negotiators that will review your account and help you with your concerns. But after you have contacted them and they cannot assist you, then I can refer your loan to the Home Retention Department"


When i called HSA last week, they said i did not qualify. Now she is saying i do? My loan is funded by Bank Of Ny. Also last week when i spoke to Countrywide, they said they were already forwarding my info on to a Negotiator. This person must not be a negotiator. UGHHH!@!!!!!!

Just talked to HSA. They too dont show me in the records. They are going to contact Countrywide and get back to me.

Also they said that they program is not just for peopel who have Fannie Mae as the investor on the loan.

So apprently Jeanette is not a negotiator. I am about whits end. When i just spoke to her, it states my loan is enrolled in home savers. Then she says it could just be a generic message. She is telling me to fax her bank statements, tax return, paystubs, and hardship letter. Do they really need bank statements?

How come when i talked to 800-669-0102, they stated they were already forwarding this info on to the work out dept? Now shes telling me i need to send her this info before she can do anything? I want to scream!

We all understand your frustration. To answer your question, yes they need bank statements. My lender "Avelo Mortgage" asked for 1 years worth. Imagine that fax.. My sisters lender "Litton Loans" asked for 3 months and both of our lenders ran credit checks to verify what we owe and to whom... Its a pretty reasonable request, frustrating I understand but they do need them..

Stay calm and take a deep breath, the weekend is just about here..

Well i thought i had read alot of people on here arent having to send in bank statements. does it depend on the investor of the loan? I have faxed everything but those, so i guess i will find out. I wonder how much they really look at them? They are so swamped.

Also, now when i call the 800-669-0102 and enter my loan number, it tells me that i need to wait 30 days to hear from someone. In this timeframe, i may or may not hear from anyone. How nice, i may or may not hear anything??? it depends on if they need anymore information from me,

UPDATE-I have been assigned negotiator Nadine Price. I should hear form her within 72 hours is what i was told.

Anyone deal with her before?

Still no word from my negotiator. I have e-mailed her twice, no reply, no phone call.

alikeith, here is my thought. resend the batch of emails. really. it has been my experience that you do hear within 72 hours not including weekends. personally, i resent them more than once in the beginning. so resend them mentioning that you are anxious to work with them and how much this means to you. make sure you provide phone numbers (at least where they could leave a message) and your email address. this is a step that worked for me. persistent and polite. you have nothing to lose and oh so much to gain! hope this helps!

My negotiator e-mailed me back. She told me that they are unable to discuss anything via e-mail and to call her. She said i also could call 800-669-6087 and they can give an update on the status. I wonder what that means. I am scared to find out.....lol

also, different investors have different requirements. i know bank of new york did ask for pay stubs/bank statements. when you get the prompt asking you to wait thirty days, it also gives you the option of speaking with someone...and i would. they are required to document your call. meanwhile...email away!!! it does get attention. this is how i received my modification papers last week. it works. you will get the attention you deserve. their asking for that information is pretty much just verification of the financials you've given them. you can do this...persistent and polite...and persistent!!!

Well i have bank of ny and i did fax everything already. I asked her via e-mail about the status. I told her she was worrying me by saying i need to check the staus. SHe told me i should call soon so i can get the status, its not necessarly bad. I wonder what that could mean?? Ha!

lol, you can do this! call, it was true, at least for me, that initially they would not email status. sooo, time to find out. we already know the worst and will help however possible. this is a great site with wonderful resources. let us know....

im calling again. They told me that they cannot give me any info.

document who was unable to assist you. then you send the batch of emails again, stating you were advised to call for info and when you did they were unable to provide you with a status and whom you talked to. that you appreciate their efforts and you are understandably concerned as 'time is of the essence.' make sure you send it to ALL the addresses listed in the mass email. you may need to do a QWR...a qualified written request. while i am not well versed in that, several others here are and can share what it should contain.

well i called again. This time i got some info. My mod has been drawn up and sent to management for approval. I was not given any details on the actual mod, but i think thats a good sign that i was approved to the point of getting it sent to management. Now hopefully they approve it. Do they ever deny it i wonder?

well, yes, however i would look over the terms and most definitely ask *** if you have questions BEFORE signing to make sure it is acceptable. My negotiator, Tabitha, informed me prior to the papers. In no way meaning to be wary, just make sure you look them over and let *** know with any questions. She's a pro and can guide you much more so than I can. Please keep us posted! We are waiting to hear what is offered....

good. however, i would not wait to schedule a good time to call, anytime is fine, but that's just me. I would be appreciative and available any time, anywhere. again, 'would appreciate all of their efforts' and be able and willing to do whatever. can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. be appreciative as it looks favorable and let *** know if you have any questions. so far so good! please keep us posted!

well she will e-mail me and tell me once she has an update. then i can schedule a time to call her. Its hard for me to call during the day at work. We ar so short staffed so thats why she mentioned the scheduking a time. She knows.

I am just worried they would not approve it. I wonder what reasons there would be not to?

i understand. if she said she would call with 'approval terms' then that is what she will do. exactly what is the 'update' she is waiting for? based upon the terms and 'update' you will know what needs to be done. then we can go from there...
