| Re: confused and overwhelmed success! just got off the phone with tabitha. in a nutshell, they are capping unpaid, since spouses income justifies payment are not lowering rate but are fixing it from adjustable to fixed, no pre-pay penalty, any/all fees rolled (2k attorney's) , int. only feature for five years, and no payment due until sept. 1st. foreclosure STOPPED/OVER!!!!!!! spouse really wanted rate reduction but our debt was not high enough? anyway, brought us current and then some cushion, no pre-pay very good, once we're on our feet can refinance and no money upfront at this time either. got everything except rate reduction. all things considered, we're going to take it. she is fedexing papers this week after 'standard auditing' to make sure she's done them correctly. no one else could've treated us better and more quickly than she has. never, in a million years would we have thought this would have turned out so well and it IS all thanks to you. told her we had heard from asking around that she was good and that is was appreciated. she said it made her day. THANK YOU *** AND ALL!!!!!!!! |

| Re: confused and overwhelmed hey all, still reveling in tabitha's news from monday...however...just checked mail from yesterday and there was a 'attempted' delivery of registered mail? know tabitha said she would fedex papers this week/return fedex envelope. first thing she was going to do was stop foreclosure, papers had been drawn, etc. so....which member of our fan club may have sent it? papers were served by a server, receipt of that came regular snail mail, is this something confirming sale date/court room/time possibly? tabitha had said we would continue to receive things for about 20 days and we could call her for reassurance but wondering (without going to get it) if it's from the attorney? (pulled up case number online and there was a court room/time which we had yet to be furnished with.) thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Re: confused and overwhelmed Okay, first we want to thank each and everyone of you for the guidance, wisdom and emotional support you have given. "Thank you" is not sufficient. It would be impossible to forget what you have all done for us and especially you ***! You have secured our world...okay will stop...starting to cry again. Tabitha has sent papers, can expect them tomorrow. FORECLOSURE IS OVER/DONE!!! The registered mail was attempted same day modification papers were drawn, figured had crossed in the mail since we talked with Tabitha on Monday, same date of attempted delivery. ***, you are wonderful and the most modest person I have ever had the pleasure of corresponding with! (Know Moe thinks so too!!) Will let you know if we have questions on docs. THANK YOU ALL! |

| Re: confused and overwhelmed Got loan docs...they are just like Tabitha said! Do have a question on 5 year interest only option. Because we have six figures equity...something we never had before...do you think it's a wise choice? Are we 'locked' in for the whole 5 years? We've never been given/entertained that idea before. If we go the 'regular' route our payment (with stuff rolled/added in) will be $1,479.00 beginning 09/01/2008. If we go 'interest only' route, says first payment of $1,103.01 due 09/01/2008 until 08/01/2013 at such time begin making monthly pmts of p and i $1,234.50 until p and i are paid in full. if on 04/01/2037....pay in full. what do you think? the difference would go a long way for us right now. either way....HOORAY!!! thanks!!! |

| Re: confused and overwhelmed Here is the deal with Interest Only............you can always on any given month add extra to pay the Principle..........on your payment coupon and on your check just make sure that you indicate the extra amount is allotted to the Principle for that month........this way if you have a month that has more expenses than usual you are not locked into the P & I payment.....

| Re: confused and overwhelmed thanks! that was a new one for us. spouse doesn't want to do interest only but nice to know it's available on any given month (within the 5 years!) hallelujah, will get notarized and send back to tabitha! (team) win! 2008 will be ALL of our year(s!) just dawned on me...probably shouldn't say a specific team! Last edited by ergoof123; 06-12-2008 at 09:37 AM.. |

| Re: confused and overwhelmed Without seeing the way they worded it on the mod docs..........what I meant was that if the docs say the first 5 yrs. are interest only and that is your only option..........you can always add principle to your payment......

| Re: confused and overwhelmed called tabitha, she is/has set up our statement with three stubs. one with the interest only, one with 15 year amount (spouse's idea) and one for regular. then we are to remit with appropriate stub. |
