Did you send out certified letters also? We are in a similar situation since January we have been trying to get a loan modification. As of yesterday they still had not even requested an analysis our account. I am beyond frustrated!!! Thanks! I am so glad I ran across your post. thanks! diana |

Some of the emails came back, but as you did, I got a response also from David Bigelow telling me the same thing. What was ironic, I got a response from the workout department within the hour. Actually I was trying to find out if we had been assigned a negotiator with CW or not. Our negotiator, "Teresa" called and left a message on our answering machine. So hopefully this will help. |

My first call to Raquel Robinson was not too promising. She said since this was not her dept. there was really nothing she could do but forward my information to my workout person "David Hartranft". If I don't hear from him by Tuesday, I can call her back. Diana |

When I emailed all the powers that be, I had a phone call in about a day and was assigned to a negotiator in the office of the president. The good news is that, if you don't hear from someone, you now at least have a direct line to someone. Even if you're not assigned to her department, Racquel is someone you can reach (and someone who actually tends to answer her phone!) rather than the robots in "customer service". Hang in there - change is coming. Keep up the calling and fax a letter confirming your phone call after each call. Then you can call to make sure they recieved that letter, send a follow up fax confiming that call, and so forth. Be nice but persistent. The squeeky wheel gets the grease!

I just faxed my hardship letter, bank information, and employment verification for the second time. They must have this updated every 60 days. That cracks me up because it should never have even gotten to this point. But I don't want them to say it was something we didn't do on our end. When I spoke with Raquel that was the first thing she said about my account..that I had not sent in my updated information!! I will keep everyone updated. As of now, no phone call from anyone Diana |

I got a call from "Stephanie" from Countrywide in regards to my email. She said they have a group of Senior Analysts that will be reviewing my file and see what options they could come up for me. She said hopefully I would hear something today, Friday or Tuesday at the latest! Whether we get approved for a payment modification (which is what we are really hoping for) or a repayment plan that is more affordable. I am just overjoyed that SOMETHING is actually happening!! Thanks everyone for their help and kind words!! Till next time! Diana |

I'll never forget them telling me that I didn't "need" to call so much. I just told them I didn't mind calling so much since I wanted to save my home. Good news for a Friday; now you can try and relax a bit and enjoy the weekend.

I called and emailed Stephanie Porter Wednesday since I had not heard from anyone. She called me back and gave me the name of the new person working on my file-"Christie McGowen". She said Christie would be calling me in the next couple of days, that she was just waiting to get the "numbers" from the Attorney's Office that was handling my case. Five minutes later Christie McGowen called to introduce herself and tell me pretty much the same thing about waiting to hear back from the Attorney's Office so they could work out some numbers for us. I am happy that somebody seems to be actually doing something on my file but at the same time worried that what if the "numbers" are still too much for us...does this mean that we are even approved for the "loan modification" or are they waiting for the numbers to even see if we qualify? Too many questions! Christie said I would hear something from them in the next couple of days..I am hoping its good news!! I will keep ya'll informed of the progress!! diana |

It got the best of me waiting to hear from Countrywide (since they said they are waiting to hear from the Attorney's office for my total of fees). Keep in mind I did offer to my negotiator to call and get the ball rolling and she said that would not be necessary... Well, I called the Attorney's Office anyway... Someone looked up my account and she saw no notations on my account that Countrywide has requested anything. She said that was the norm..for any action on the account to be notated...she was even nice enough to give me my fee total... Of course I tried to call the negotiator, her supervisor, and the office of the President and noone is at their desk I don't know who to believe!!! |

I got a call from my negotiator "Christie" today and she said we were approved for our loan modification!! Our note is still a little high but still almost $1000.00 cheaper than what we have been attempting to pay on "payment plans". Its definitely workable!! She said we would be getting our paperwork on tomorrow via Federal Express and that it had to be signed and sent back. She said our payment was effective June 1st. Just in case anybody knows...does this mean our "first" payment will be due then? Since this has all started they have not accepted any payments. It would be great if we have until then. She didn't mention sending any payment with the paperwork either. My last question...will they accept "regular" payments now, like online? Not just "certified funds". I guess I should have asked her all those questions! I was just in so much shock that I was actually hearing from someone...WITH GOOD NEWS!!! I will let everyone know if we do indeed get the paperwork and everything goes thru! ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU EVERYBODY!! Considering we have a court date on 4/28 this could not have come at a better time!!! |

I am so happy that you have your light at the end of that dark tunnel you were in when you first got here......... In answer to your questions.......once your account gets updated you will be able to make your payments however you were making them previously..........and no, you don't have to make them all cerified funds........the only thing that would need to be certified funds is if you have a good faith payment required with your modification...... Please let us know when you receive the docs and if you have any questions on them...........

I will definitely let ya'll know if I have any questions! I honestly can say, I would have never gotten to this point without out this website's help! Ironically, it was the attorney's office that filed the suit against us (Countrywide's rep) that referred us to this site...they said we were in some serious need of representation! To be honest, when we first applied for the loan modification, there was no mention of a "good faith" payment. However, on one of the many calls I made, they "mentioned" one might be needed and asked if were we prepared to pay it. When I asked how much, they said "maybe one months payment?" I said we could do that. My negotiator didn't mention it, she just said twice "that payment will be effective June 1st." I guess if I have waited all this time I can wait a day or two more Thank again!! |

I was wondering, when did you first become behind? We have been behind since December, and I have just received a "freeze" on our sale date, which was coming up for May 6th. Now we are back in working towards a loan modification, and being assigned another negotiator. (#3 now). I have been ask by Donna Baldwin at CW, "HOPE", how much could we come up with if we were to be offered a modifaction? Well once again Congratulations! |

As of January I notified them I just could not afford the payment of $2543 anymore-never could! That is when they offered the "loan modification" option. During that time we have been served papers of foreclosure. As of today there has not been a "a sale date" put on our home. We have a deadline to respond on 4/28 or an order authorizing sale of our home can be made. I have called the attorney's office and gave them an update on our loan modification but they technically have to hear from Countrywide to tell them what to do. So I am still on pins and needles. I am surprised it has gone this long with no payments being accepted. What state are you in? I personally think its because of the massive influx of foreclosures coming thru the courts this past year. I was really surprised that everything has gone "smoothly" since sending out my email to everyone listed. I am actually scared and holding my breath until everything has been said and done!! |

Ladybug, I forgot to answer other question...On one of my many calls they did ask how much we could come up with..I didn't even know how to answer! The rep said, "How about one months payment?" I said, "Yes, I am sure we could." That was it. When I got my loan modification papers there was not amount listed to be sent back. (Thank God!) It must be standard that you do though because there was a whole section about how it needed to be in "certified funds" and that until those papers and money was sent nothing else could proceed. Hope this helps! And thank you so much for your congrats! Like I said before, I will rest easy when everything is said and REALLY done! diana |

Dimodel, When I spoke to Ms. Baldwin on the phone, she ask me the same, "how much money could we come up with if we were offered a modification?" Like you, I couldn't give her an answer, so she ask me if we could at least put up a months mtg payment. I told her that shouldn't be a problem. She said that sometimes it takes anywhere from 6-8 weeks to get a modification. Like you, when they postponed the foreclosure sale date, that was a termendous lift off our shoulders. It gave us some breathing room. |
