FIVE? that you were on trial mod that is SUPPOSED to be completed within 90 days. Yes, they GAVE ME A TRIAL MODIFICATION RIGHT AWAY TOO. What they are NOT doing is FINALIZING MODIFICATIONS in a timely way and sorry, but 5 months isn't the way they present it at the outset. I am VERY happy for you though, if you could get Litton to give you one, when did you get it? I heard they HAD helped people consistently PRIOR to HAMP. Thanks for sharing, wish your story was true for the vast majority of us here, sadly it isn't. |

I HOPE that if they ever DO get around to giving me a modification that they will DISREGARD child support, since it will discontinue within two years. They misrepresented to me during the initial call about the modification that I HAD to disclose any child support, then sent me documents stating: 1) It was at MY discretion if I used it for income or NOT and 2) If it wouldn't continue for two years it couldn't be used. NOW they keep telling me they need an "award letter" In Ma the ONLY award letter is the order, which states "TEMPORARY ORDER" well it was written in2000 and hasn't been revisited since, nor do I intend to revisit it. My child's other parent makes LESS now than they did in 2000 so the likely outcome would be a REDUCTION. AND in my state, child support ENDS at 18-- Unless the child remains "domiciled" with a parent and dependent on them, in which case it CAN continue to age 21. WELL, hello, who knows WHAT any 18 year old will do, I can't FORCE another "adult" to live at their family home, even if I think that's a good idea. Meanwhile, because the court order does NOT specify HOW LONG the support will continue, they state they NEED DOCUMENTS INDICATING THE DURATION, lmao. WHAT FOR? You can't count it as income according to the stuff they sent and again, they wouldn't know of it, except for MISREPRESENTING that it HAD to be disclosed in the first place, grrrrrrrr It is hopeful reading that ANYBODY has had success with them, because as you can see, you are real lucky and very atypical of MOST results. The website NOW has something called "contractual amount" and WHAT THEY WRITE IN THERE IS SEVERAL HUNDREDS MORE THAN WHAT I AM CURRENTLY PAYING. It is VERY scary dealing with Litton. |

Also, despite the order being for ONE amount, recently it is about 50.00 shy of that, and I am not about to pursue it legally, because I have enough going on without creating the havoc of another fiasco in court over 50.00. That doesn't make the difference, be nice if the order WAS followed, but it isn't always followed. They should have said UP FRONT, "child support is included at your discretion" NOT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TELL US ABOUT ALL INCOME, INCLUDING CHILD SUPPORT YOU ARE PAID. They already KNEW I get child support because I have had to have repayment plans in the past. I also have had some temporary part time work for the Census, that comes and goes, and isn't predictable or reliable for income purposes, but I did tell them about it, it is a FRACTION of what I made last year. I have one reliable steady source of income and that is what they ought to base the monthly payment on. |

SCARY DEALING WITH THEM. |

Also my final mod papers state child support and alimony need not be declared if I didnt want to use it as income, so I dont know why there giving you a hard time. I live in florida, and my house was not in forclosure, I was just 2 payments behind. I dont know if eithers of those facts made a difference but I do know in some states the lender can forclose without going to court. here in florida they cant. |

I ended up with a cheaper payment and they also told me my new principal balance would be 366,000 but it's 364,000 - It appears that I am all current and the website says I am not due to make a payment till 12/1 - another thing that appears to have a lot more money in it then they said is the escrow account.. Like you said, I as well am just happy to keep my home... |
