Talking Got Modification From B of A

I can't stop thanking God for this. We received the papers in the mail last Tuesday. I had emailed Ms. Desoer after getting her email from this site. I was hesitant at first, but after they cancelled our modification the first time I got over that hesitation really quick. I was amazed at how fast I got a reply. Theresa was so nice and patient. Then we received our negotiator Kristy and though I have called her numerous time and have yet to speak with her, she sent us our papers last week. Our payments went from 1776 a month to a little over 1300 a month - $900 is our actually payment. I just can't stop praising God's name. We are so thankful and appreciative. This site is truly a blessing. Thank you so much.

Congratulations to you! Is this a HAMP mod or in-house mod?

Congratulations Justdae! That is amazing how fast they will offer modifications sometimes. Looks like BofA may be stepping their game up

Re: Got Modification From B of A

I want to know if there is "bargaining" with the intial modification package sent out? I hear the first is not the best and once rejected better ones come along. Is this true? Does anyone have first hand experience with this? My lender is Wachovia - soon to be Wells Fargo.

That is what I am wondering I have BOA a FHA loan and was just offered a MOD payment. only dropped 150.00 bucks. I am scared to trun it down but the offer is not the great. They drop my interest rate from 6.5 to 5.3, but the payment didnt really get lowered. They are saying that is the best they can do they have to follow FHA guidelines and this is the best offer. So if anyone has any input I would love to hear it too.
