My story is the same story every posted on the board. I am a title insurance sales person in the state of California. I watched my earning fall from six figures a year to barley two figures a year in a New York second my world bottomed out. I have escrow and title background and at the first sign of the decline I began my journey to the twightlight zone of lender maddness and greed losing my mind a little bit more each day of the one year struggle to regain some control in my life. The insanity of what a person is put through is beyond anything I have ever experienced in my life before and hope and pray I never have to travel that path again. My workout package was lost three times, the phone log I keep had dialouge from Deed in Lieu of to absoluetly we have a program to help you and everything in between. I believe it was just a way of wearing me down to the point of giving up. However that is not in my gene. I lurked on this site almost everyday for 6 months looking for help and answers and finally I found something that worked for me and maybe it will work for you. I put together the same work out package, plus four years of w-2's, 2 years of paystubs, closing papers from the purchase of my home. I contacted my local representatives office Barbara Boxer and sent it Federal express to the person designated as my case worker and with 11 days I was presented with a modification from Citibank that reduced my principal balance, extened the term of my loan and dropped my interets rate 3 points...a solution that works well. I whole heartly suggest that you do this immediatley. Also we need to get the special interest groups out of politics and put real American in these positions, we need transparency in governement and lets put back in some of the safe guards removed by the Regan Administration...meanwhile Good Luck and God Bless each and everyone of you struggling with the dire situation once you secure your home lets clean up Washington!!! |

Get the politician involved with main street issues they needs to get in the trenches and support the hardworking American!!!! |

I am also in CA and after > 6months of runaround from my services ALS, I just received a rejection on my loan modification application without much explanation (2nd rejection btw). We are at a turning point, deciding now whether to default on our loan given the response from the lender (we've depleted our savings trying to stay in this house). Who should we send a letter to at Barbara Boxer's office? Thanks for your help! |

I have contacted Senator Boxer in the past but don't know if I have a caseworker. I will definitely find out! I am also working right now with my state assemblyman to see if we can't get some legislation in CA to stop foreclosures and/or to require mediations as Nevada has done. We have also just created a petition (see loansafe petition to d.c. thread) and will soon be sending it out for signatures. There is movement afoot!!! |
