pushing BOfA along!!

I applied and have been approved for a loan modification through Bank of America..I've been calling every week to check on the status and I have been assigned to someone and was told I would here something this week...well nothing happened and I called and now they are telling me mid Sept.

Well I took it upon myself to email the executives asking for help on moving it along....everyone I talked to previously said to keep current on my payemtns and it's getting harder to do so and I don't want to mess up my chances or my credit b/c they keep giving me a run around.

I emailed the exects and they called me the next day saying my email would be forwarded and I would hear from someone in 48 business hours with what's going on with my modification....hopefully they can tell me something b/c this is getting nuts. How can they tell you to make sure to keep current when they are dragging their feet and it's getting harder for us as homeowners to do so.

Anybody been through this and do you think it will help

Re: pushing BOfA along!!

Hi, I am in the same predicament. I have been asking for help since November. This past week I emailed the OOP, Barbara D., and called the rep from her office. Not one email or phone call back from them. I did get this letter from the rep, S. Jackson, which said that they would work all my past due payments into the mod. The only thing is that I am current and have never been late with the mortgage. This tells me they have no idea about my situation, nor do they care in the least. I am seriously thinking about not sacrificing to pay this month's payment, and letting the house go. Let them collect their insurance and get to keep all the money I put into this house. I am sick and tired of waiting for help. When the banks wanted tax money the government could not write the check fast enough. Now that we are in dire need for an affordable mortgage, the banks are simply holding onto the money.
Does anyone know if the banks are allowed to make money on the TARP money? A large portion of the money should have been put into an escrow account to be used to correct the banks' predatory lending scams. Funny how rules and regulations only apply to us and not banks.

Hi Lhuynh,
Thanks and I have contacted HOPE and NACA. Have not spoken to an attorney, but plan on talking to one soon. HOPE did submit my information in August, and NACA is still working on getting all my paperwork together. Their FAX machines are not the best I am trying everything I can to get through the the bank. I feel like I wasted so many months before I found this site just waiting for the bank to answer my hardship letter. Now I am really trying to be proactive and noisy. Maybe they will get tired of hearing from me.

Hope submit your information, so where are you in the process now with the lender? I wouldn't recommend an attorney, for 1; most of them jump into the Loan Mod wagon since that is where all the money is to be made. 2; Depending on the attorney what is their experience in this field? 3; they can take your money up front since they are an attorney, than do not do anything. A friend of mine who used to work for an attorney firm, his job was to scare homeowners who is in foreclosure, situations like this, making them pay upfront than not perform for their clients.
