We fell behind back in April sue to a family illness. Originally we set up a forbearance plan to pay the missed payments over 12 months. I was just relieved not to lost my house. I soon realized that was ridiculous! I applied for a modification and was set up on a 3 months forebearance pending modification. I spoke with Ryan in the Presidential office a few times, sent in all requested documents and made my 1st forebearance payment, waiting anxiously for the 3 months to pass so we could move forward. Well I get a call last Saturday to let me know that our modification went threw and our new terms were an interest rate drop from 6.25 to 5.62. A reduction of about 200.00 a month. All payments missed added back into the loan and my 1st payment on the new plan is due October 1. I almost feel bad because I had absolutely NO trouble dealing with Wells Fargo at ALL!! Everyone I spoke with, even in Loss Mitigation, everyone has been very helpful. So don't give up everyone!!! It can be done and now I am happy to report that we are back to normal and no longer under the threat of losing our home! Never, ever, ever give up!!!!! |

Is it a home affordable modification (HAMP)? From what I am seeing, WF internal modifications are easier to complete than the HAMP mod. |

Is there a different way to apply for a WF mod as opposed to a HAMP. We were denied a HAMP mod. Is it even worth reapplying for ?

Getting a "second look" seems to be very common from what I've read. In fact, I'm in the "second look" HAMP phase myself.
