She was probably not in the food chain for the QWR and deleted that data since she was unable to fulfill the task. We used to do that in scanned environments regularly and it annotated the deletes so that there was record.

I called CW today to see if all of my documents that have been faxed over and over again have been received. Good news, they have everything....finally! The person I spoke with was very imforative about CW's "new rules" on contacting the negotiator.

It seems that people were calling the negotiators daily to get info on their modification status. (imagine that, why I never,) Well this has made all the negotiators backlogged and unable to close any mods. You will be able to speak with someone in the workout dept, just not your neg. They are not allowed to transfer you. On the 30th day after being assigned your negotiator, if they have not called you yet, they are required to call and update you on your status. So sit tight by the phone on day 30! Also, It is now a 60-90 day process. (not 30) They should update the website!

So my advise to you is....somehow fanagle your way into their email.
I actually have gotten a few reponses from the oh so elusive negotiator
species this way.


FYI...my case is being handed to the next tier of negotiating...I feel like I'm in the playoffs. Cant wait to make it to the Superbowl, crush the defending champions and proudly wear my ring!

Maybe after this is over, we can all go to Disneyworld!

Yeah I have only spoken to my negotiator once through the whole process. The workout dept rep has most of the information on their screen anyways.

I still say ----- call, call, call and fax, fax, fax.....they sure will not pick up the phone and keep you posted on progress, and further more I am very reluctant to put my life in the hands of someone that most likely was working at K-Mart 2 months ago. No joke, folks, these are not necessarily experienced mortgage folks, not by a long shot.

New rules. LOL, I wonder how many people are just going to sit there at the mercy of a Countrywide rep calling them back while they inch closer and closer to foreclosure death. Yes, you are losing your home, your life, your credit, but hang on, we'll call you, don't call us.......gee whiz.......

Let's follow this one VERY closely everyone. I have a feeling that many Countrywide Home Loan borrowers will be stuck waiting as their homes go to the auction block and their negotiator gets another 2000 cases.

Update:

I sent out a QWR and Call log/my story letter on Fri 2/8 to the Office of the Prez. On Tues I recieved a call from a Alice, a very nice lady from the Office of the Prez. She wanted to address all of my concerns and send out all the info I requested. She also said that my case had passed the qualification phase and had been transferred from my first negotiator to another negotiator.

Alice called again this morning to update me on my case. She said that they had all the info needed. She also said that she was going to expedite my loan mod request and that I have yet another new negotiator. I asked why she was trying to expedite my case and she said it was because of my letter to the Prez Angelo Mozillo.

I really think the key to success is the QWR!! So I hope everyone is doing this! I wasn't going to send one, but after reading all of the success stories this seemed to be the common factor!


So listen to everyone when they say send out the QWR....It seems to be the grease in the greasy wheel!

Yes!!!! Sweet victory! I just got the call from my negotiator!!! Loan modification accepted!!!! My 3/27 IO loan has been reset back to the teaser rate 5.7% for 5 years. I will have to pay the principal and interest now, but at least it is somewhat manageable! They are still working on my second, but my negotiator said that it is unlikely, because of the loan being pooled into many investors. I will be getting the paperwork by Friday to sign and notorize. The new payment will not be due until April!

Thank you so much to everyone here! I could have never had the courage or the skills to do this on my own! The entire process took a little over 5 weeks. I think this could be a record?!?! 1/17-2/25

Countrywide was the lender/servicer, but Bank of New york was the investor.

It was so funny after I got the call from the negotiator my first thought was to post my good news, but the dang thing would not let me log on! GRRRR!!!! Yeah Bank of NY was my investor too. And from talking to Countrywide, I was told that Bank of NY lets countrywide have the final say on the MOD's so its much quicker to get approved.

You do not even understand how great this makes me feel!!! Really. It is unbelievable to imagine that I created this website that it's truly helping so many people and touching them in every state in the country. Saving homes and fixing loans

I really enjoy when people call me and I will help in any way I can. I am truly touched that with the help the Loan Safe community you were able to get a Countrywide loan modification. But in the end, it was you, Shannon. You got educated and you took action to began the fight and ended this fight with a victory for you and your family. That's an awesome thing!

Can I ask you where you are from and if you would be interested in sharing your story with the local press in your town?

So, other homeowners can learn about Loan Safe and do this on their own? That would be a great way to pay it forward. If you do not want any press, I understand, but i think it would be great for your local paper to know that a local homeowner saved their home with the help of a little website.
