I was so scared and nervous I had to sit down before I could open it. My husband was standing over my shoulder, I think as nervous as me. We opened them and it's everything we can live with. They froze our rate for 5 years. 8% not the greatest but hey I can live with it. They finally straightened out my good faith money, I only have to pay them the diff. between what they had sitting there in suspense and what I had originally told them I could pay. The only thing that confuses me is it says in the doc that we have to sign a auto payment document so they can withdraw our pmt each month but it's not in the package so I am assuming it's a standard form letter and not everytbody has to do this. Also the letter is dated 2/7/08 and says everything has to be returned by 02/22/08 (today) and we just got it today (oh by the way no signature needed since they left in the door) but the first page when we pulled everything out had a sheet on it with a clock that says need to have back by 3/6/08. SO they are getting better but still do some stupid things! |

I could not have done this without all the help from you guys here. It gave me the strength to make those calls everyday and write the letters, etc. I swear I'm so happy right now I can't stand myself! All I can say is thank you so much and for everyone out there do as they say, call, call, call, fax, fax, fax and don't give up. |

Just remember to follow the advise of the people who have been successful before us and Poppy's big one of call, call, call and fax, fax, fax, and I added e-mail, e-mail,e-mail to every countrywide name that Andrew provided. It's a frustrating process but in the end so worth it. Because I walked around and looked at my house this weekend and thought this is where we raised our kids and I have my first grandchild coming this summer and I want him to be able to come with his parents and be in the same house his mom was in and it's such a great home and neighborhood that I was determined I was not going anywhere! So my fingers are crossed for everyone out there still doing the battle! |
