Can everyone who has been approved and entered into a trial mod period or forbearance let me know how it was reported on your credit? I have been approved for a forbearance with EMC. One rep told me that the lender will report "paying a partial payment but pays as agrees" with no late payment showing. Another rep confirmed that this is how the payment will show but with the 30,60,90 day lates each month on my credit report since I'm paying less than my original mortgage amount. This is for my 2nd mortgage (I have an 80/20 pred. mortgage and NACA is working on the 1st with ALS). The 2nd is with EMC. Any information will be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! Offered a Forbearance to begin March 1st for four months (was told they would place my account on credit reporting hold. 2. April so far so good. Checked credit and they did not report at all 3. May still no negative marks 4. June last month for the forbearance trial period and they still have not reported to my credit. Made several contacts to indymac/onewest beginning early in the month. Finally received a loan mod agreement Jun 18 signed and returned to their office. Mod approved June 24 I believe. Was told NOT to make a payment for July first modified payment due Aug 1st 5. July no payment made on 1st. Check credit on July 24 and my credit now show one negative for one west bank 30 day+ late for July. 6. Contacted One West / Indymac right away and was told they only place credit reporting holds on the forbearance period and how the loss mitigation department can not help me any further. I was clearly upset as though they requested me not to make the payment for July and then I am penalized for not doing so. But I suppose this is something I could work to correct after I receive my first statement. Perhaps write indymac / One west a nice letter to their corporate and try to get them to update it to current and never late. It may work. |
