I know what 31% of my income is but I'm wondering if I should ask for the 31% amount in my hardship letter or should I be specific and flat out ask for the step modification program where it starts at 2% and goes up after a certain amount of time. Also, for those who have the step, is the 2% or 3% where you start actually 31% of your income or is the final interest rate where you will end 31% of your income? I know all they can do is say no if I ask for the wrong thing but would rather have some insight first. 31% of my income is a 4% or 5% interest rate. I have a 10 yr I.O. Arm that is scheduled to reset 11/09 if anyone needs this information. As always, thanks so much for all responses! |
