Re: Dec. 1 ---loan mod's dthom, I just looked at my account this morning, and they have removed all of my information I sent them. It had been on there for the last two months, and now it's gone. I called and asked a rep about it, and they said they had my info, and didn't need anything else. I was worried they were getting ready to dump me from their list, since it has been so long that I have been waiting..... Kate

Re: Dec. 1 ---loan mod's All my account says on line is "no workout information available". The last time I called retention I spoke with someone name Aurora who thanked me for making my payments, tghen told me it appeared as though someone had looked at my information and we didn't qualify for any help, but wouldn't tell me why. I guess it is because we are only paying 7 or 8 days late. I have to pay an extra $3.00 each month I pay after the 6th. We have been paying later and later every month. I am also going to try calling Countrywide again, as you never know what they will say as each person has a different answer. If they are going to deny us, the least they could do is send a letter or something so that we know why., they won't tell us who the investor on our loan is, nothing. When I told Aurora that if it kept getting worse we would have to consider giving them back the keys to their house, all she said was "sorry to hear you feel that way". It isn't how we feel, it is what we may have to do if things don't get better here. Do they get trained to give, vague, and dumb answers to questions. Well I guess we all have to just hang in there. If I get nowhere with CW we may talk with NACA and see what they have to say. I have written to my State Senator and Michigans Attorney General outlining our experience so far. Just wanting to let them know how CW is really treating those they say they want to help.

Re: Dec. 1 ---loan mod's Well I can't understand how they can say that. Have you asked to speak to a supervisor? I was told that if you are in MI you would receive the streamlined mod whether you were late or not, as long as it fit into the guidelines of subprime, option arm, etc., I would be outraged, too. I guess my situation is a little different, it still shows active processing on my mod, but the faxed paystubs are gone. I feel like they are finding ways around the sweeping promises they made about 400,000 mods. I read that they were supposed to complete modification requests within 60 days, too. I made my request on 10/29, today marks 60 days. I haven't even received any documents yet. This is incredibly frustrating...Countrywide is not treating its distressed customers with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Re: Dec. 1 ---loan mod's kateistired, I was told the same about Michigan because of the lawsuit. I even read them the fact sheet that mentioned subprime fixed rates. I did email the Michigan Atty General to see if I could get some clarification on the settlement from his office. But have not received any reply, I assume because of the holidays. I am going to try calling CW again, chances of getting same person twice is nil, so who knows what I will find out, but speaking to a supervisor is not a bad idea. I'll try that too.

Re: Dec. 1 ---loan mod's I emailed CW on the 30th asking for a reason why they told me modification was denied. Now this morning I checked the message center and they sent me an email apologizing for any inconvenience and now state the my modification is in "pending" status and to check the workout website. There is still shows "no workout status". I am going to be printing out their reply to me,(paper trail). I intend to keep watching the website and will call them again in a few days if I don't see something on the website that shows progress. Does anyone know if being told modification is "pending status" is a good thing or is it just another stall tactic by CW.

Re: Dec. 1 ---loan mod's Denise: I just emailed right thru my account. At that point I really told them what I thought about CW and how I had emailed, my State Senator and Michigan Attorney General. Then this morning I received an email apologizing( ha) for inconvenience(!) and stating that they show my modification as pending. Pending what I don't know ( approval, denial?). More CW double talk I guess. In the email I also requested that if they were denying the modification I expected to receive something in writing as to why. Told them what poor customer service they have, how everyone you talk to has a different answer. Keep at them, I have been told, I qualified, I didn't qualify, I do qualify, I was denied, and now modification pending! No one there even knows what the other person is doing, and no notes are ever on file from previous calls. We have a 8.25% fixed sub prime. Refied from 2/28 with another bank back in August 2007. House value is now about $103,000, mtg is $141000( approx).

Re: Dec. 1 ---loan mod's Thanks dthom I did the same. I emailed thru my account and also mentioned some of the things you did. I am so sick of these different answers from every person I talk to. One time I call he says I was denied next time he says oops sorry you were approved and now Im denied again!!!! I wish I could talk to them in person! I feel like I am calling random people who dont know anything!

Just after me and my wife were about to give up all hope....BAM!!! we got our email from NACA just last week that our loan has been finalized and modified. And to my surprise, it was a BETTER offer than NACA proposed to them. We had started this process way back in October of last year and have had our mod cancelled twice. I then got ahold of NACA in February of this year and sent all neccessary paperwork to them. We had an adjustable rate that was currently at 9.25%. Our payment was $1150 and did NOT include taxes and insurance ($210 mnth for this). NACA came up with a proposal of 5.65% fixed for life of the loan which made our payment $1026 which included our taxes and insurance. Low and behold we get our paperwork and our rate is now an unbelievably low 4.15% for the life of the loan making our payment $921 w/ escrow. YEEHAWW!!! Now we just have to work on our 2nd w/ Litton Loans and get that rate modified. Moral of the story is, there is hope and don't give up!! THANK YOU NACA and LoanSafe!!!!!!!!!!!!!
