I called the executive dept for wells Fargo(1-800-853-8516) today(spoke to Jennifer) to ask a few questions about my loan. 1. Why was I transfered to a call center overseas-India?. I needed to speak to someone in the loss mitigation dept not overseas-couldn't understand a word he said-then he transfer me to a company that had nothing to do with mortgage issues or Wells Fargo. 2- Anyhow when you apply for a loan mod-you don't get approved for that first. They automatically put you in for a re-payment plan. You should not sign this if you can't afford it. They next will put you in for a rgular loan mod. If you say you have 200.00-300.00 of income left over each month-they will use that extra income to put you on a re-payment plan because you can afford that. So really think twice what you are putting down as they will use that against you. SInce I declined that which I should have done before-they will review there options directly with my va servicer rep directly and get whatever permission they need. I may need to re-fax more documents-20 days to make a decision. I could get a lower interest-or longer term. This dept is quite professional-treated me with respect, and informed me they will investigate and call me back. |

This is what I get when I access the Web site-Access Denied: This account requires special handling, please contact WELLS FARGO-708 for further assistance. What does that mean-foreclosure? They have my phone-they don't call, no letters are sent-afraid to make that call now! |

Actually I just called Wells FArgo and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that my loan is in a final review with a negotiator.(this 2nd loan modification went through the execetive dept this time-better and faster results possible) My negotiator is Tina, and they expect to have a response back within 1-2 weeks what the terms would be. Also the only fees that i would have to pay would be the late fees-currently 145.58-everything else would be rolled to the end with the loan modification once its approved. Also since my loan is under final review-i wouldn't get a status right now on the web site. Also they do not require any furthur documents! (I think i'm getting pretty good using also this excellant info on this web site to do this for free-by your self-and yes-you can do this!) This is interesting as I have defaulted on all my numerous credit card and personal loans-I guess they may have run a credit card report which i'm wondering if they are not too concerned with as this is a VA loan. Also I informed the very pleasant rep-Kim the reason I defaulted on my 1st loan mod-it never went down-it actually went up. Also informed her that I was going to be out of town for almost 2 weeks and there wouldn't be anyone home to sign or fax documents. She said my 1 st payment would probably be June or JUly, and would let the negoator know I would be out of town-so that would be more than likely In July-which would be great. If you are in a final review, no other documents are required, and since this is A va loan, I'm suspecting that I would get another loan Mod-details are pending as the VA requires its servicers to do everything possible to avoid a foreclosure. I informed her that I know that you are required to contact the VA to get permision for a 2nd loan mod, prior permission for a 1st loan modification is not required under the Valerie system which the VA is under. So now all I have to do is wait and se what the VA is going to do.THe president never signed any bill to include VA loans to be modified with the bill that was passed-so I'm expecting to get the same thing again-even though on the hardship letter I did ask to have my interest lowered, loan to go with the value of the house is worth, a 40 year loan(i'll be dead by then, and to modified under obmas plan. Any ideas-Have a great day |

I tried for several hours to access my account on line with WF and kept getting an error message. TUrns out there was a flag on the account. A tech rep for WF had me call WF 800 number which actually was in India. They informed me they I was in foreclosure effective last Friday. Informed me the attorney *********rTrustee company was asigned this case. Interesting as I went on the Web Site and time my info in and confirmed this. I had called them the last several days, nothing was mentioned about this-no letter either. I called the VA and they informed me they never received an E-mail from Wf concerning a loan mod which was in active review pending info from the VA. Called the exective dept-same status. I have a sale date of 25th august-the attorney told me this, but WF says no sale date has ben issued. ALso those Veterans out there that have A va loan-bad bad news. The current admin never passed or approved anything to those with VA loans-we are being treated like trash, discriminated against, ect. Never get a VA loan. Never! Well-once you turn a account over to attorney-they control the foreclosure till the end. Also I will have to pay thousands of dollars of attorney fees which I will not. So I haVE 2 choices. Wait till August and see if anything happens good. Or I can file chapter 13 where they roll all the past due including fees into the 5 yr plan, or leave and trash this place. And I just got off the VA rep a few minutes while I was spouting, and he actually made a mistake. He stated that he had received an e-mail from WF, asking permission to do another loan Mod. (a 2nd one requires permission from the VA). I stated that we did sign off on a loan MOD last Sept, They tried to get me to sign off on a re-payment plan in March refused. I asked him if there was anything postive that might occur, as he was getting ready to contact wf and said yes, he would call back this afternoon with theresults. If they give the aproval for another loan MOd, then I'll just have towait and se what terms(probably just a standard loan MOd As veterans receive no assistance from Obmas Plan whatsoever) And Just a quick call to the exective dept told me that the foreclosure was put on hold today till everthing is worked out. And they are following the VA guide lines for a VA loan mod if authorized and will see if they can lower anything else. So good news-bad news all in one gasp. So, anyone having issues similar to me, contact the exective dept, they are the only ones with any power to do anything. Collections forwards to attorneys. Loss mitigation has no authority to stop a foreclosure, they will give you a run around, and if you get transfered to India, hang up as that is iether customer service or colections-you don't need having your personal business discussed by those folks. I never do any business with any dept overseas, only US only |

Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | Went through the exec. dept at WF to try to get something other than a repayment plan with another 300.00 tacked on for 18 months which I politely refused to pay and threw that in the trash can. Called my va loan counselor and informed them what was going on and advised he had been sent an e-mail message requesting approval for another loan mod which he was confused as I had been approved for 1 in sept 2008(just a standard loan mod which adds)l the difference to the end and another 6% loan-nothing different. He finally agreed last week to authorized another one(a 2nd one must get the permission from the VA under the VA valerie guide lines) THe difference is it will still push this back to a 30 year loan again(the amount owed-like starting out with a new VA loan), however this time they lowered the rate from 6% to 4.5, THe details had not been finalized(how long does it take for the rest to be finalized?) I informed them that I will be out of town until the 2nd week of JUne for a wedding in MIami for my daughter and my 1st vacation in ten years and if they fed ex anything, I won't be home. They said nothing is ready yet to sign, they just got the details. This house is still under a foreclosure through the attorney's office until the paperwork is signed. JUst be patient and call next week to see if anyhing is getting ready to send out. I called Congress Woman Gifford and asked her why the Veterans are being short changed on getting a VA loan modification consistent with obmas plan as the Senate never approved a bill like they said they would giving us the same options available as those with other type loans. That office is now investigation and will check to see if the VA can make it lower. This is a big difference-however I'm lighting a big fire to let my Congressemen and Senators know that I dislike the big nothing they are doing for veterans with home loans issues. We fought, we served, and what do you do for veterans-a big fat nothing. I'm not only doing this for my self(as i explained to Giffords office) but all veterans. I will keep everyone informed. Those with a VA loan, don't give up, they are still willing to do a loan mod-but not for terms you expect-no principal reduction-Sorry-you can thank the present admin for doing their best for veterans=a big fat O |

Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | I HAVE RECEIVED A 4% LOAN MOD FROM Wells Fargo-previous loan was a 6%. The investor reduced it from an agreed 4 1/2% on the final stage to a 4%. Payments went from $1090.00 to 899.51 a 190.00 reduction. The first loan mod a year ago did nothing. So one more shot. There will be a 190.00 reduction in payment. No principal reductions are allowed from VA. So veterans who have A va loan, you will have to get lucky with your servicer to get anything approved. DO TRY TO GET HOLD OF THE EXEC DEPT THAT *** POSTED IF ALL ELSE FAILS.!!!! |

After making 2 payments-I am finally on track. They rolled 7 months of late payments to the end, decreased payment by about 180.00. That is all i could accomplish after 2 yrs, 3 loan mod, 2 re-payment plans, and a foreclosure. I can honestly say i done all that can be done-so this will be a success story, if you have a va loan with wells fargo, you can get a loan MOD- with a better plan-any questions I'll be more than happy to help-I think I can write a book on this subject regarding my fight!! |

My VA loan was modified in November with an exception made because I had one almost three years prior. They left me at 6% and my payment went up just over $100. Well I made my payments for the first four months. I had to invest in a new car in April. Paid Aprils payment late and then decided to call Wells Fargo. I was told not to make payments while I was reviewed. I am now 4 months behind. They have put me on a 3 month moratorium because they showed I had a deficit. i have corrected my finances I think after a fourth attempt however i can still make payments if i wish too but i do not have too. On Saturday i was told that they would request for us to be reviewed again becuase our finances were corrected to show we have a surplus of almost $300 a month. Any advise how we can get our interest rate lowered too? |
