Talking NACA/CW LoanSafe SUCCESS!!

This is my first post. I'm sure I have read every single post on this site at least 5 times. I am so greatful to have found myself here and have learned so much from all of you. I am also going through the NACA process. They have recently submitted a restructure plan to CW on my behalf after CW turned me down twice for loan modifications. The last time CW said I didn't respond to document requests. A lie!! I had called CW the day before they turned me down to check on status and they told me they had everything they needed, it looked good, and they were finalizing a modification for me. Lies, all lies from CW. I hope NACA's restructure is accepted by CW. I am not late yet, but March is coming........I've held on as long as I can, I won't be able to make the payment in March. I lost my husband in November, and savings are now gone. Reading all of your posts........I don't feel so alone. Good luck to everyone, we sure do need it.

Re: Naca finally did it, succesful mod!! Oh my!!!!

Mine was submitted to Countrywide on 2/13/09. Countrywide's website says that I should hear something by 3/31/09, but I heard from NACA today. I just got off the phone with NACA and it's CORRECT!!!!! I was beginning to think it wasn't real, with so many getting the approval email. Woo hoo, definitely party time!!

Congratulations Evelyn:

We are pleased to inform you of your newly restructured loan solution. This interest rate is based on your affordable mortgage payment you determined during your counseling session. It is a tremendous result and your mortgage payment will be reduced by hundreds of dollars every month for the life of your loan. Your new interest rate is stated below. It is permanent and for the remaining term of your loan.

Interest Rate: 2.000% (for the life of your loan)

You should receive your documents restructuring your mortgage within the next two weeks. The restructure is based on the above interest rate and your affordable mortgage payment consisting of the Principal, Interest, Tax Escrow, Property Insurance Escrow, Private Mortgage Insurance and Homeowners Association dues. Please review the details of the mortgage restructure documents.

The new mortgage payment must be affordable over the long-term. If this is not the case or should you have questions, need additional information, or have comments please send an email to homesave@naca.com. You can also call us at 1-888-404-6222 after April 1st. Congratulations! We look forward to your continued participation with NACA.

Thank You,

Bruce Marks
NACA CEO

P.S. We continue to advocate for homeowners throughout the country and need your continued participation. Everyone needs a long-term affordable mortgage payment. CONGRATULATIONS ON ACHIEVING YOURS!!

I went through CW twice myself. That was a waste of time.....denied and denied. I went through NACA and was recently approved.

Re: Need CW advise

I had tried for a modification directly through CW twice only to be turned down. When I started the NACA process, I stopped communication with CW. If you are going through NACA, you want to make sure not to start another request for modification with CW because then you will have to wait for their answer before NACA can submit a proposal for you. CW will only work on one thing at a time.

Re: Need CW advise

I don't know how that works or what is better. My husband died suddenly in November, and I was blessed to have some savings to allow me to stay current long enough to get my restructure approved, for which I am eternally greatful to LoanSafe for educating me and NACA for helping me. But I think that will be a call only you can make. After reading so many posts, I see people that are anywhere from current to over a year behind. There's no telling what's right anymore........it's all so confusing.

Re: NACA approval email: Anyone get the docs yet?

My documents are in order. My next payment is on June 1st. 2% Interest for the remainder of my loan...........simply amazing. My payment is now 1/2 of what it was.

THANK YOU LOANSAFE AND NACA!!!!!

And to each and every one of you who has posted. You will NEVER know how much you have meant to me. My world shattered into a million pieces on November 24, 2008 when my husband died suddenly at age 44. I thought I would and could never make it on my own. I found comfort from you all, with so many of us struggling and seeing such amazingly positive people with such good advise. Again, thank you!!

Re: NACA approval email: Anyone get the docs yet?

My taxes and insurance were NOT escrowed before mod. My mod papers also do not include any escrow, just P & I. NACA submitted a proposal for me at 4.5% interest and to have an escrow. Actual mod came in at 2%, no escrow. But I'm ok with it. I have always paid my taxes and insurance separate.

The length of my mod is 329 months, the remaining term. I wonder why CW is doing different things for different people. Whoa......I can't possibly be expecting CW to make sense, can I? lol

Re: NACA/CW LoanSafe SUCCESS!!

Wow! I too was in tears after reading your post! I am so incredibly sorry for your loss! My heart goes out to you!
What a wonderful and amazing outcome for you with the loan modification! OMG! 2%!!! That is fantabulous!!! This truly gives me hope as I recently contacted CW to start the process. I just finished our hardship letter. The gentleman I spoke to yesterday at CW was very knowledgeable and I felt very positive after speaking with him, very unlike another lady that I spoke to a couple of weeks ago, whom advised me that I should sell my house (yeah, me and 200 other people in the neighborhood or do a short sale...again, let me stand in line...). But the person I spoke to yesterday gave me hope and I will not give up on this! I've read other posts wherein it says that some have also contacted NACA as well as CW to kind of have a "Plan B" if direct communication with CW doesn't work...

Thank you Lizzy. I feel like I'm living in a dream. I've lived such a roller coaster of emotions during the past 4 1/2 months.....so much has happened. I still wonder when I wake up in the morning if this modifation really happened. And I know that Michael (my husband) is smiling down on me.
