Re: CW message center? offering a modification? help!

Yes I have that also and I thought everyone did. Kind of a kick in the face if you ask me. I even took the chance and clicked to apply. I havent heard a word from them and that was weeks ago. (I did try to refinance in Nov already w one of their loan agents so maybe that was on my record and they passed on it,,,, but didnt say a word.)

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

Hi everyone!
Yesterday CW called me and a lady named Lisa swore that they had not received my file from NACA, heck she didn't even know about them!
I told her NACA sent my file 3 weeks ago and they should have it, she said no.. I didn't feel like arguing so I told her I will check with NACA.. which I did and my counselor said they did send it, then I get home and I have a FEDEX package from CW! they want to give me my old rate and interest but only for 5 years! why would they want to fix my rate for 5 years only? I mean don't they understand in 5 years time.. they are going to have the same problem? No way!
I just want a fixed rate for the life of the loan.. I figure since hubby and I already started with quest.. we can hang on a little longer and get a fixed rate for the life of the loan? What do you think??

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

The wait would be up to you............but that type of fixed rate that you are in need of, is most likely what NACA is proposing............see if NACA is pretty close to getting an approval.............you may want to give CW your NACA ID# so that they can check on the progress of the file that was submitted by NACA.

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

hypertweeky,

CW did the same for us right before we got the approval for NACA. Hang in there. My NACA acceptance was even dated before that joke 5 year freeze loan mod was made so I think they were trying to see if I would take the good ole 5 year freeze or hold out...

My story is here: NACA/CW Success Yippee!!!

Hey Tandknix

It makes me feel a little better.. watching the news about our economy is depressing!!
So CW is trying to get me to accept their crappy offer because something better may be on the way? wow I hope so.
THANK YOU! I emailed my counselor. let's see what she says!!

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

the "5 year rate fix" is what is stated that cw will offer in the information about the 12/1 homeownership retention program, that is the mod offer you just got, I doubt it is the naca mod. I had the same problem with cw not knowing anything about the naca submission, my counselor at naca said that is because naca works with a different dept of home retention than we would if we tried to work with cw own our on. you can call naca for updates, cw reps don't have a clue.

Another question...On the FedEx what was the postmark date? On my FedEx it was dated the same day as my NACA submission...I found that to be a little suspicious.

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

Naca submitted our file on January 5th, the letter says the notice and modification documents are dated January 23rd however the post mark date is the 21st.
It says the interest rate is 7.39% until February 28,2014
I don't know how much it will go up to, the documentation says "thereafter the interest rate and monthly payment will adjust in accordance with the note, adjustable rate rider and any other loan document that is affixed to or incorporated into the note and rider and provides for, implements or relates to any change or adjustment in the interest rate or monthly payment amount under the Note.

What note I am wondering?

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

What that means is that after the five years it will revert back to the terms in your original note and if your loan was adjustable, then the terms of the adjustable rate note rider would apply. These would be with your original loan documents.

Naca finally did it, succesful mod!! Oh my!!!!

Congratulations Mark:

We are pleased to inform you of your newly restructured loan solution. This interest rate is based on your affordable mortgage payment you determined during your counseling session. It is a tremendous result and your mortgage payment will be reduced by hundreds of dollars every month for the life of your loan. Your new interest rate is stated below. It is permanent and for the remaining term of your loan.

Interest Rate: 5.000% (for the life of your loan)

You should receive your documents restructuring your mortgage within the next two weeks. The restructure is based on the above interest rate and your affordable mortgage payment consisting of the Principal, Interest, Tax Escrow, Property Insurance Escrow, Private Mortgage Insurance and Homeowners Association dues. Please review the details of the mortgage restructure documents.

The new mortgage payment must be affordable over the long-term. If this is not the case or should you have questions, need additional information, or have comments please send an email to homesave@naca.com. You can also call us at 1-888-404-6222 after April 1st. Congratulations! We look forward to your continued participation with NACA.

Thank You,

Bruce Marks
NACA CEO

P.S. We continue to advocate for homeowners throughout the country and need your continued participation. Everyone needs a long-term affordable mortgage payment. CONGRATULATIONS ON ACHIEVING YOURS!!
