Well we wanted to go prepared LOL so I am bringing everything.
Now the naca website says the appt is tomorrow: it says 12/17 at 2:30 intake with Jim Allen but it doesn't say where, how would I find out? aww!!

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

Ours was the same way. It never said where the office was so I looked up the list and called the one closest to us. I asked if my counselor worked there because I had an appointment at 10 a.m. and wanted to double check.

workshop before counselor appt? help please! freaking out!

I am sorry to start a new thread.. something just hit me, I made an appointment to meet with a counselor but did not attend a work shop is this going to prevent us from starting the process?
Aw my friend said you are supposed to attend a work shop first, I am freaking out because I gathered all of the documentation, why would they have accepted a face to face meeting??
I hope is OK!!
Perhaps they let us since we are doing the "home save" program and it is more urgent?
Please advise and sorry for being a pain and thanks for putting up with me!

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

hyper, I don't know as we did not go to a workshop, there is not a naca office close to us, we did an online submission and had a phone counseling session. talk to your counselor, I am sure there are options for you to take the workshop and perhaps they can do the submission without it. Please don't panic, and make sure you go to that appointment today and don't forget the kitchen sink!

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

OK I have news!

We brought all of the documentation and Mr. Allen said we didn't need all that LOL, he said it used to be necessary but not anymore.
He took 2 months of pay stubs copied our drivers licenses along with that he took our name, birth date, SSN, company we work for, address of the company we work for, employment verification number and our job description.
He told us he just helped someone who hadn't paid for 12 months (how is that possible) to lock in a 5% rate!
He said it will take 2-10 weeks.
The hardest part was to figure out how we do employment verification here, being a large corporation and all.. you think it'll be easier ha ha.
We are excited!!

my countrywide nightmare upate.. denied for mod, yeah me too..

Hi everyone.

Sorry I couldn't find my other thread.
I got a letter from countrywide saying the following:

We have received your correspondence requesting our assistance because of the hardship you are facing. Unfortunately, we must deny your request at this time for the following reason(s)

The modification request does not meet defined criteria for:default, the inability to make the mortgage payment or documented hardship assistance.
Please contact us at 1-800-669-0102 if you need additional information for priority assistance. For all other questions please contact the number below...

This is the response I got from when I called them and went thru the mod process on my own.
My NACA counselor won't call me back and I don't know what to do, I sent an email to another counselor begging to please let me know what's going on.

I am really really depressed

Re: my countrywide nightmare upate.. denied for mod, yeah me too..

when ever i called cw (after naca submitted) they wouldn't tell me anything except to call naca. If you can't get your counselor on monday call the main naca phone 1-888-302-6222 ( best time to call is 9 - 10 am eastern time) you may end up on hold but, wait and talk to a live person and explain the letter you just got to them and ask for an update on your account. you just submitted it takes a while for a naca solution to be accepted 60-90 days

Re: my countrywide nightmare upate.. denied for mod, yeah me too..

I applied on my own thru country wide before I did NACA just because CW insisted the day I called them because I couldn't make my payment.
I sent my email to another counselor today, our appointment was December 17, we have been waiting since then, NO word at all, so hopefully someone let us know what to do, We gave him everything he asked for and what he didn't ask for we faxed.. so we shall see what happens!
Sorry I am just scared

Re: my countrywide nightmare upate.. denied for mod, yeah me too..

So I called NACA, spent an hour on hold!!
The customer service representative said they sent our complete file to CW on Friday January 9th, now we wait.
I am worried though because we just officially "missed" our second payment, hopefully NACA will intervine whenever the foreclosure will start, do you know what the timeline is?
Thanks!!

Re: my countrywide nightmare upate.. denied for mod, yeah me too..

the timeline that is followed would be in your Deed of Trust with your closing documents under the term acceleration remedies.........and the foreclosure process would follow your state's timeline based on that remedy. If you get to that point during the process with NACA, they can intervene.

hyper
when I started the process with naca in september I was due for 2 payments, got the notice to accelerate (form letter) with a date of 10/2 on it, our naca submission was on 10/6, we didn't hear anything, I called naca periodicaly for updates, they were waiting on cw. then on 10/31 the workout in process showed up on my account and said to call back after 11/13, still nothing, we called cw on 11/13 they saw the naca proposal, but wouldn't tell me anything about the status of it (said I had to call naca) but said we qualified for the 12/1 program and had us fax paystubs. still waiting on that one, naca contacted them many times during the process to get updates, unfortuneately naca has to wait for cw to respond. then on 12/12 called naca for an update and found out thier proposal was approved, got an email on 12/30 from naca confirming this, when I still hadn't gotten docs, naca contacted cw yet again on 1/6 and whamo, got my mod docs on friday 1/9. I just put in the fed ex today. I have not made any payments since 8/08 I got a letter to accelerate way back (cw told me it was a form letter the computer sent out) when I called them for updates, but have not gotten anything else from cw nor a single phone call from them. the process takes a while regardless of how you do it. you may not hear anything from naca until you are approved, you can call them for status updates, but they won't call you. we got an email once we were approved, everything else was me calling in for updates.

Hey! Thanks so much for your post, it is definitely nice to have a time line to look at and a experience, it is so stressful! but I'm preaching to the choir aren't I?

Do you care to share what interest you were offered?

Thanks again!

Re: Countrywide nightmare/any hope?

I am updating my journey..

NACA sent the file to CW on January 5th.

Received a denial letter from CW last week although the notice says December 24, I am not certain the file was complete as the expense report
was poorly drafted... and they didn't even ask for a hardship letter, mind you I went down with it because they insisted I qualify for the December program, this was before I started the process with NACA...

Got a notice to accelerate On January 2nd...

More to come!!
