How did you get them to come down on your interest rate? We have 10.45% right now and they only came down to 10.375% on ours. Any info would help! Thanks!

dont stop the key is a QWR and call,fax to no end. i called and fax my hardship letter so much they fedx me a letter not fax it no more that my mod was approved.but i did not stop i call,call,fax,fax just do what Moe & Cat tell u to. i am going to fax over my mods to Moe he can post for all to see if he wants.

mod 3 # just got it from by fedex today its 4.5% i/o for 5yrs then going to 5.25% life of the loan pmt are down to $ 827.90 they want me to send $800.00 up front witch i,m going too. i have come a long way with this loan when i took out this loan it was 195,000.00 at %11.50 adj rate pmt of $2001.00 and i had a credit mid score of 690 at that time. i,m happy now. i talk a lot of people at country wide last week i talked to a lady and just ask her do you have the power to mod this loan if not i do not need to talk to you put on the phone with the one with the power (peeed her off ) she i have the power i said ok then we need the talk so we did she call me back the next day with # 3 mod. so guess call call call and each time ask person you are talking to for the person over them with more power.it work for me. i can fax all 3 mods to moe or cat for all to see if it will help others.

I'm curious about your experience with NACA. My good friend had ARM at 10.45 and all Chase would offer was 10/25 with an $8000 "good faith" payment. He went to NACA and within a month got this mod from Chase:

2.5% for 5 years
4.25% for 1 year
6.75% FIXED for all remaining years.

Pretty darn good. Maybe it depends on whether it's Chase or Countrywide/and who your NACA rep is.

This is what I think.. the investors are relooking at the modifications they are approving.. With all the government interventions happening no one actually knows what is going on...Your "friend" is the first case that I have heard of that the terms were so drastically different... I agree with Ken..QWR's are intimidating..for lenders... especially those mortgages that were quickly sold..
