I am a realtor, not the best career to be in right now. I am also an accounting and business administration major with 2 years to go. WOOHOO!ffice At any rate we started calling last August 2008 telling them that we were going to start falling behind and we were told that until we were late they could not help. So we fell behind, we had no choice. In October 2008 we voluntarily relinquished our vehicle because we could no longer pay for both. We get calls to set up the payments every month which we have been doing faithfully since losing the vehicle. However, at this time Ford credit is telling us 30 days to set up a payment arrangement or they will start the legal process to garnish our wages. We have never been in a situation like this and are very stressed out which is not good for the health. I called and left a message for CIT telling them this and I did get a call from a Lindsey who works for another company and was suppose to be figuring out rather or not we would qualify for a modification. We were told we would hear something within 10 days. This was on Jan 8th 2009. SO we are still waiting to hear a response from CIT. I did speak with someone named John who seemed very knowledgeable; we spoke the same language which helps, because he had worked in the mortgage field before. I feel confident that CIT is trying to help its customers; I will post as soon as hear something back. Nicole B |
