Well, the documents finally arrived on Friday ( Jan 9th) late in the afternoon- via FedEx overnight delivery. al in order, I had our attorney view them and all is ok. The problem is, the letter says the signed documents have to be recieved by WAMU on or before Jan 16th- signed by a notary with the good faith cashiers check, or money order---- I am leaving tomorrow morning for a business conference and wont be back until Thursday night ( the 15th)- there is no way I can have them to WAMU by Friday- I can't even get them signed in front of a notary until Friday morning. I have tried to call loss mit but they are already closed by the time I got the documents, and not open weekends. Any thoughts on what I should do? I emailed my contact, but do not have her phone number. I suppose with the way these games go, not having them there in time will nullify the mod......probably....but they told me almost 2 weeks ago that they were sent out, and then I see they were sent via overnight delivery! Any thoughts? Thanks Lisa |

FedEx-Kinko's might also have notaries. If you are really in a pinch, and if you live within a reasonable distance from a large-ish city, you should be able to find notaries who offer mobile 24-hour-a-day service. |

I found it curious that we were told on Dec 31 they went out- I called on Jan 7 to tell them we hadn't received them, and VOILA, Jan 9 they show up delivered Standard Overnight....... sheesh......they were never sent out to begin with...I am not that stupid |

Called and called, trying to figure out where they were. Finally I sent a fax to a supervisor. Two days later the docs arrived by FedEx. Oh well, the bottom line is that we both got our mods, and have them in writing. I'll say it again (without apologies to Longfellow anymore): The mills of "mod" grind slowly.... |

No other business could operate in such a haphazard manner--- well, I am sure some could but you know what I mean. I still dont completely trust this, that they wont "lose" something and have the whole thing fall apart! As I said before, after all this, now I am an informed, educated consumer and no one will ever screw me over again. All thanks to you harvey and everyone else at loansafe.... Have a good day, and with a heart full of gratitude.... Lisa in MN |

I document everything and keep every shred of paper that I receive - envelopes, delivery confirmation receipts. I get the name of every rep that I speak with and document every phone call. I hope you kept copies of the loan docs before sending them in. |

Their core buisiness is basically servicing loans... even doing a foreclosures is a lot less labor intensive and pretty much streamlined for them. I think what they're dealing with at this point is uprecedented and will probably get worse.. Of course I am not trying to excuse them... just poviding and explanation. |

I have had my docs there for 3 mos and every time I call I am told to wait for them to call me, and then i get a flurry of calls from another dept asking me to pay. i am approaching 2 mos behind. Thx Dave |
