Exclamation Popolar Mortgage to Litton - Save our home!

I am new to this group and I have a question on how we can save our home. Earlier this year we went through a loan modification with Popular Mortgage which converted the loan from an ARM to a fixed rate for the remaining 30 years. Now since our loan is "upside down," I would like to know how can I save my home and use the new refinance bill which was passed on October 1st. In addition, Popular is closing shop and Litton will be taking over our loan next month. Has anyone had this experience and how can we approach Litton on the October 1st on utilizing the new bill. Any direction would be appreciated.

Hi digiphd,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining................

The program that began on October 1st..........is an FHA refinance........you would need to ask if the investor on your loan is participating in the program.............and the property can only have one lien....which is one of the qualifications............ if you have a second on the property, you would need to find out if the investor would release the lien and close it out.

click on the link for the info.........

Here is the contact info you will need once the loan transfers to see what options the investor will have on your loan............
