I had been to see an attorney for last-minute bankruptcy-- she would not work with me as far as her fee--so now that's out the window. (today this happened) I have a friend who is a local attorney-- can anyone tell me how to write up a "skeletal petition" in order to file it myself-- in the State of Rhode Island ? If I do 90% of the work-- he might file it for me. The reason for the desperation is that the sale is tomorrow 10/14 at 10:00 AM-- hey-- I know there's not much chance... but I still won't give up ! I don't even want the house-- but had a close friend try to help me financially (almost $30,000) so I don't want him to lose out-- I will pay him myself --later on -- but I might qualify for a loan modification-- if I can just hang on for a short while. This would allow me to sell the house-- and pay him back that way-- the mortgage is too large --right now... local prices have "tanked" so nobody's looking at it. I will be here all night if necessary-- so post-- or even email me. |

You would need to contact Litton and see what options the investor on your loan would have.............you would also need to get the property listed with an agent well versed in short sale negotiation before they will consider a short sale. Executive Resolution Team 1-800-247-9727 Direct: 1-713-218-4592 Fax: 1-713-966-8852 As far as writing up legal documents.............we are not able to advise on that as we are not attorneys...........you might want to check on the Rhode Island Bar Association website to see if they have any self help sections.

I am not heartbroken over it-- I did not really like the place.... and I already have new rental-house lined up-- in a great neighborhood. Perhaps it will be for the best in the long run. |
