Unhappy Homeq Help

Hello,
My name is Kim, and I asking for help. My husband and I purchased our in June of 2006, we were so happy living the American dream, but if 2007, that dream became a night mare. I was injured in a care accident in October leaving me unemployed for 4 months. I contacted my lender and we were placed on a repayment plan, raising our payments from $1100 to $1500 with a $2000 down payment, expensive but we wanted to keep our home. In Feb of this year I was hospitalized diagnosed with chrones and luekima. Once again off work, I contacted Homeq and was placed on another repayment plan. We couldn't afford the payments for in Aug we were told the only thing we can do was a short sale. We placed our home on the market, (Our home loan is for $160.000 but we can only sell it for 110.00 we have to get a 1099 to report $50.000 as income yea right). But the house didn't sale, so we decided to contact Homeq again, they are willing to help, but now they wand 2800 repayment. I need help, am I not asking for the right things? Any information you can provide? HELPHELPHELP PLEASE!!!!!1

Re: Homeq Help

brownsugar,
Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining. *** or Moe will be by as soon as they can to give you some direction.

I'm sorry that you are going through this, you're not alone though...alot of folks are.

Instead of asking for repayment plans, have you asked for loan modification?

What's next

Okay I sent me hardship letter to the head honcho’s on last Thursday( 16) and I received a call from "Shawn" at homeq and he advised that they rec'd my emails, and that so one from the loan modification department would call me by Monday(20th) . Monday has come and gone with no call. Should I keep waiting or should I be pushy and start faxing and calling? Advice is greatly appreciated.
