They tell me it could take up to 60 days to get an answer. I have a sell date of 12/29/08 on my house and they are telling me they can do a payment arrangment if i come up with 1900.00 to push the sell date out. Is this worth it? My payment would go up 400.00 in order to catch up - doesn't seem like a viable option for me seeing I am already have issue paying both my first and second. I am looking to hire an attorney. Any advice would be great. I am in AZ. THanks, Last edited by BOSOX; 10-02-2008 at 11:54 AM.. Reason: Correction |

You do want to be sure you get someone familiar with the real estate/loan mod process. Many of us here are using Paiva, griswold. (There is a link on the left of the screen) Also , check with your states BAR association to find out lawyers specialties and reputations/qualification.

I have read in other threads about AZ being non-conforming or something like that. I have a first and second (never refi'd) so I am assuming it would be considered "purchase money" types. I would be looking for solutions, Litton is in proces of doing the MOD but I don't really want to put all my eggs in one basket so to speak. They said they wanted to put in in some re-payment plan. With 1900 down (bascially the cost of the attorney fees they told me) and then they would spread out the deficency balance, which would result in additional 400 per month. Kinda stuck in the middle...come up with 1900 to start payment plan which will not be a long term solution - bascially buying me more time, holding out for the MOD - which may or may not be the answer, or else... |

I have spoken to Griswold, they had informed me to locate a local attorney. Other than looking on the AZ Bar - is there anyone that has used an attorney in AZ they could recommend other that calling one after another to find a reputable one. THanks, |
