What is Change of Trustee and Full Reconveyance Means?

Hello ya all, how you all doin, best life and no worry I hope.

My parents are old and they sold their house at short sell, their lenders told them they forgive the balance owed. They just received a letter from the assessor's office sayin Change of Trustee and Full Reconveyance, what's that mean? They are afraid of the term Change of Trustee, and what is Full Reconveyance mean? Thanks for help,

Nethh1

nethh1,
Welcome to the forum and thanks for joining. *** or Moe will be by as soon as they can to answer your question.

Was this a letter just notifying you that they acknowledge that your parents no longer own the house, or was there a request for funds in it?

It means the loan has been paid and it probably came from the county clerk or recorder (and not assessor), at the direction of the bank who owned the loan.

Important document, tell them not to lose it and congrats
