Does ANYONE have a Happy Ending.....

...to fighting their foreclosure and the banks that control the world?
I have read so much info on here that my head hurts! There is wrong being done by everyone in every area of these cases....even by us. I am willing to pay the consequences and HAVE! Isn't there anyone with a success story were they hired a firm to sue banks and they won and the case is actually RESOLVED IN THEIR FAVOR! I DO NOT want to read ANY post made to my thread from a attorney or a paralegal saying they have cases that have won... I WANT TO HEAR FROM THE PEOPLE WHO OWNED THE HOMES AND WON OR LOST!
After many years of internet use, I know from many forums, you will ALWAYS hear good and bad about EVERYTHING! Some people just want to argue, some just want to vent, I WANT TO GET ANSWERS! Real answers from real people with real documents to back them up.
I have been fighting for my home for close to 2 years.... I am not fighting for myself, I can start over in life, I am fighting for my 84 yr old mother who, during this stress, has been diagnosed with dementia....I am trying to do everything I can (with God's help!) to keep her in her home until God comes or calls for her. I have been ripped off my many "firms", including one that was so proudly plugged by Alan Mendelsen on the news and he even made a 30 min infomercial for them.....they changed names, fired the people that promised our money back if they failed and didn't send in our paperwork to the bank. yes, its all horror stories... some my own fault for trusting people and believe me I'm praying to price for it ! But I'm not looking for pitty or to lay out for the world to see all the stupid things I have fallen for in this mess. I just want some honest people to give us honest reports on did a attorney help or not and if so what are the details. If there is a avenue that I haven't traveled in this mess that is worth traveling I want to know from someone who has traveled it and been happy with the outcome...or even if you aren't happy with it ... PLEASE share it with those of us tired of it all but still willing to fight if neccessary.
Thanks and God Bless you all.

    Hi MrsWWonka,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining...........

I just wanted you to know that this forum's members are made up of homeowners as we do not allow attorney firms or mod companies to solicit our members. I do know there are some members in the middle of suits against their lenders but I have not seen any that have come to fruition yet as the fight can be very lengthy. I am so sorry for what you are having to go through while also taking care of your mother and I hope that you are able to keep your home.
    Best Regards,

    Thanks Cat,
The only reason I posted that about the "firms" posting here is because on almost every thread I read there is at least one post stating "our firm helped this person get this done or that" maybe not in those exact words, but simular. I have been promised the world as well by so many "firms" but they all want a large chunk of money which I do not have. One thread here mentioned attorneys that will do this for a percent of money awarded later, but they didn't post any info on who those firms are....offering NO RETAINER. I am at a stand still. No word from bank, or the law firm they hired. Did we fall into a crack? do I call and pull us out of it if so? NO legal docs from the bank telling me anything. Do I continue to feel my heart leap into my throat everytime someone knocks on my door? Do I pursue a job here where I live since I received a grant to go back to school (yes, at 46!) so that I can have the solid income needed? or will I be giving them notice once hired because I can't afford to stay in my area and care for my Mom if I have to rent?
These are all just my daily depression issues. Was hoping to hear some good news on this site that might direct me as to what legitmate steps I have available to me.
Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Nope, Although my situation is different from most so don't be discouraged by my results.
Long story short. Wife and i split up a couple of years ago. Her income took a dive. Mine remained. She kept the house and fell behind 15 months. We got back together and her income is back. Don't have a hardship anymore. We feel grateful the bank put the 100k on the loan and lowered our rate. So, same term and payment. Bottom line is if we stay until paid off they basically forgave the missed past interest.

Don't give up! I didn't sue, but did turn my bank into every "Tom, ****, and Harry." I was told by every agency, that I had about 0% chance of a modification...Well they were all wrong. My mod. is a HAMP and my payment went from $1920 a month, to $976. It took me almost 2 years. Just make a big stink......THEY don't like that! Good Luck!

Well according to everyone I have talked with (legal and otherwise) the reason they haven't taken our names off of the house is because they do not have the correct paperwork to do so. This is why I want to fight it. So many wrongs do not equal a right. I know, its all talk and its all so confusing....but if there is a chance of getting it worked out I want to fight for that chance because the banks will not give it to me on their own. Oh, to go back 20 years knowing what all we know now....wouldn't that be something?

    I'm so happy for you!
I'm just beginning. I have a 3 month special forbearance trial with Wells. Would you wait until the 3 trial paymemts are finished, or would you suggest I call the OOP now? Also, if you feel comfortable offering some additional information, I'd love to know the names of the people who DID and Didn't help you so I can compare with who is helping me.
    Thanks and again CONGRATS!!!!!!

I contacted my rep., and let her know we had completed the 3 trial payments. I did this as soon as I thought they received payment 3. I honestly don't know who did or didn't help me, but some one or more of my complaints, got my situation referred to a new level in the executives office. That office only helps those, where the govt. etc., becomes involved. It was fairly easy, to send complaints to many offices, using one basic letter, that I adjusted to the different regulatory agencies. I did them all on-line. If I could guess, I would think that the Kentucky Attorney General's Office may have been the most help. I will note this.....I really heard very little from the offices I filed complaints with, but did receive GMAC's answer to them, copied to me. One came with a mod. offer attached. That mod. offer, was calculated using too much income, and they sent me the same one, with different dates, three months in a row. My rep. got that straightened out. I just get this feeling now, and it may be me, and may be wrong, but it seems like, if you make the 3 payments, the rest is pretty automatic....You get the perm. mod. Why not? They didn't ask for anything new and it was all done, within a month, of my 3rd. trial payment. What state are you in?

    Hi MrsWWonka,

As someone else stated these processes can take a long time. I wanted to tell you that our attorney has been great and got our sale delayed for the past 5 months. And now we are just waiting to hear back from the bank's counsel about our proposal. While we have not had success yet it has been good so far and everything looks good. So once we hear back I will be sure to post my results for you. There are good people out there, knowledgeable ones and sometimes it is extremely hard to find them.

    Take Care.

Hi, I just joined because I am at my wits end and need help. I can also offer advise as I have be dealing with this for almost 2 years. I have a Wells Fargo mortgage and have been trying to get a mod since the beginning of 2010. I have been denied 7 times! Even though I have done everything they have asked of me, including a 3 month temp mod! After the 3 months of me paying the amount early, they then denied my permanent mod and sent me a check for the 3 month amount that I paid and put me in foreclosurethe next day! I just don't know what to do. To anyone who thinks a temp mod is a guarentee of a perm mod is incorrect unfortunately.

Try putting your information in the following thread to pinpoint why exactly it is that you are being denied repeatedly for the modification.
